[WIP] Astrostein Redux v2

Astrostein Redux is (currently) a weapons mod for zDoom intended for use with Laz Rojas' Astrostein series. It replaces the original dehacked weapons with new DECORATE weapons, for example the shotgun is replaced with a plasma mp40.
I plan on redoing the enemies and bosses as well, but that will be more difficult as the 3 different Astrostein games have seperate enemies. Suggestions for the mod are welcome.

UPDATE: The enemies that are the same in each Astrostein have been coded, and have fancy new death animations. Which Astrostein should I make the unique enemies for first? Astrostein 1, 2 or 3?

Good luck with this. I've always really liked the Astrostein games. An inspired mix of Wolf and Doom to be sure. Can't wait for the finished mod. :)

Maybe some techno remix versions of original wolfenstein musics ?

OR classical musics like beethoveen, Chopin, Mozart, etc... would fit perfectly with the space nazi theme. (The best space movie, "2001 A Space Oddysey", is using classical musics as theme)

That would be more apropriate yes, I agree with that.

By the way, I'd suggest putting all 3 episodes in one wad and with MAPINFO having the choice to choose one episode at startup - and even play all three of them in a row. Don't forget to include "The Portal" btw, it's an interlude to Astrostein afaik.

crap, i just missed your thread all time ago. so i just add a book mark for it, great job!

well, sorry about another critics...again, it's pretty lack of sounds. also few weapons needs a better polishes. specially energy panzer sure does a OP damages and splashes either. so i'll send my version of yours with PM when i wake up if i had to. it's dawn already.

also i can give you a hand if you really want to polish those enemies realistic as grammar nazis. ;)

I'm probably gonna keep the original astrostein enemies, but I'll add decorate coding and some extra stuff.

Considering each of the astrostein games have different enemies and scenery, this could be a bit difficult. It might happen, but so far it looks like I might have to make each enemy/scenery replacement seperate for each game.

I've already remixed a couple wolfenstein 3d tracks to a more fitting techno theme and if you've found a song that you think would fit send it to me.
