From 1st to last; Eviternity, GC, its addon, and weaponshop. Right? Loaded with ZDL, on the latest version of GZDOOM that I just recently updated to. I hadn't messed with anything else, and that's always been my load order--maps first, then the cool mods and its following addons.PillowBlaster wrote:So far I tested it here, seems like snow still appears normally. You sure your load order is okay and you don't have any addons or stuff on autoload that makes a sprite name conflict happen?Shzingidongalong wrote:Got a problem when playing this with Eviternity:
snow is instead giant orange Fanta fart clouds that I can't see through. I'm not running GC with anything else than itself, and I tested without GC.

Hmm. Might wanna post a screenshot then, maybe seeing what kind of sprite it is might give me a clue. Cause I did launch it like that and snow still looks normal to me? Reference screenshot.

This got awkward--I put Ev back in after having finished it, no changes to anything else, and now the snow is normal. Guess the engine wanted to be funny with me.
I could describe it, at least, it looked like it could have been an explosion cloud effect. Fairly bright orange color.

Kept having a load error in menudef.txt of unknown keyword of "Size" and "Clean". Fixed it by removing that line. Everything still seems to be fine. GZDooM version 4.4.2.

Or you can update GZDoom to 4.5.0, instead.thedeathrunner123 wrote:Kept having a load error in menudef.txt of unknown keyword of "Size" and "Clean". Fixed it by removing that line. Everything still seems to be fine. GZDooM version 4.4.2.

I was having trouble playing the game itself- it either crashed or went back to the title screen.Captain J wrote:What really doesn't seem to work? You mean the collecting of Weapon Fragments?

Shoot. When did this start working with strife? How far behind am I? Also only thing I noticed off with it is the mission objectives are stuff like 'codex34dc1' (not a actual one just one made off the top of my head) Love the options though which show just how much he's thinking 'I hate you all'

It's been able to play it for a while. Yeah, some response rewrites and some revamped artwork to include Cygnis which is awesome ("Gonna be a loud silence...") ... but the 'CODEX' and 'LOG' mission objectives are, as far as I'm aware, normal at the moment.Solaela wrote:Shoot. Re: The Guncaster - 3.777a
It's pretty remarkable the degree it interoperates with each of the supported games, even down to tiny details like his weapon pick-up sounds and how power-ups work and look. Strife's just on a whole 'nother level for having dialogue. By the way, if you play this on Hexen, enemies have a really low threshold for falling death, so try dragon kicking asses into the milky-way. If you have mecha or mask you can even do this to the Heresiarch for an instant kill, even with his everything-proof-shield bullshit.

Not to say that perfection can be built on, but is there any variable that can be altered to kick up the value of gold pickups? One of my friends has been scooting through Hexen and is having a blast, but he feels like gold is scarce, even with Loadsamoney enabled.

I also like how there's no 'sigil' weapon. You just use normal weapons on the ghost stuff.T.K.Bold wrote:It's been able to play it for a while. Actually, there's a "Sigil" spell. Something like Sigil of the Gods. It casts lightning similar to the original Sigil, except that it doesn't drain life and is actually good. You get one level of it free with each wraith that normally drops a sigil piece.Solaela wrote:I also like how there's no 'sigil' weapon. Also Mission Objectives are broken for me too. They just load up the index number of the entry, rather than the log itself. Don't care, I just keep shooting things until the plot says I shot the right thing.

Yeah, the Strife support is rather rudimentary given how messed up it is to work with it, but resident expert of it Amv2k9 did a lot to make it work to the best extent he could. He's been gonezo for a while, it seems, so can't say I can do much about those issues, and I still hope he's doing alright.Bochulain wrote:Also Mission Objectives are broken for me too. Noticed one small oversight in Weapon Shop addon, Hammerspace's shop description still says it gives you ammo boost every pick up.
