it's getting good so far, and don't forget it needs to be get gibbed, because it's used to be human based enemy, though. also it would cannot be the arachnotron replacement, too.

I guess another quite Doomy alternative would be something like this:

Again, that would be a very easy edit but I'm not sure whether I prefer it or the more open mask of the previous edit.

I'd say this is better cause it's very similar to doom guy's helmet. ;)

well, add it a plasma rifle could be a hard work, though. also make it's armor rusty or make a gibbing sprites for option.

To do so, it would be best to change it to the green colour range. Even better would be to change only part of it to the green colour range and have contrasting coloured bits (e.g. the helmet, breathing tubes, shoulder pads, back pack and probably the boots) and that would take more time than I have ATM. It's not a difficult edit by any means but a little time consuming.

For now we can have the base sprite. Let's leave time to greenify it.

Yes, I do. The only thing I see resembling one would have been the mouth area of the helmet, which would have made the old version a two-eyed, goofy looking Moomin at best, which is certainly not the first thing I thought. Please take it to PM if you intend on pressing it.

Looking back through the Spriting Carnival, it looks like it was Uboa who posted those sprites originally. The_Funktasm expressed an interest in using (presumably for his X-Com mod) but it looks like Uboa is the original artist.

If you color the main body red, you've got yourself a mini-Terminator. :P

(don't actually do that; the Terminator's shoehorned into enough mods already. I love the damn thing but it doesn't need to be in everything ever)
