If the Vore does get moved to the Arachnotron slot (I would _not_ give it that many missiles though, that sounds borderline unfair), that leaves the question of what should be put in the Vile slot. I do not want to use the Diabloist or any of the other Vile-derived monsters from Realm 667.

Yea that's true. Personally think the vanilla Arch-vile is fine as is though, maybe a speed rush?

I'm not saying you should use the Hellion's sprites...but you should totally use the Hellion's sprites - just look at the devilish grin!

hellion was from realm 667, too. and he's tottaly small to threatening the player and seems weaker than vanilla viles, though.

if you're looking for tottaly-different vile's sprite, i recommand the solospaghetti's archvile, though.

EDIT: then i hope you can finish it much faster, god speed.

Huh, I was pretty sure that the Hellion was one of Eriance's monsters (specifically, from Demon Eclipse). On that note, he looks more unique than, say, the Diabolist (just a red Archie with horns, essentially the BD Archvile's base).

Also, HOLY SHIT, an update to Accessories to Murder! I wonder what this means...

EDIT: A lot of things, apparently:

*The new sprites are beautiful - I'm considering modifying the M2097 into a DoomNukemized classic Doom shotty, since the existing sprites are cleaner and smoother than any current alternate spritesets for ANY vanilla weapons, though whether or not the set sees use in any Doom mod is entirely up to you and DN.
*The pickup sprites are also gorgeous, though they suffer from being so different to the voxel pickups, which are based off of the old pickup sprites.
*The scaling on the casings is also a nice touch, though I'm going to nitpick and suggest that the AR casings be bottlenecked, as rifle casings tend to be.
*AR and SG guys could use a similar idle frame to the Pistol zombie.
*The AR's recoiling animation looks kind of wonky - the sudden upward jerking of the sprite, compared to the smoother recoiling of the old rifles, seems to break the anim overall.
*Seeing a SCAR-based rifle instead of the usual M16/AR-15 style ones a lot of Doom mods tend to have (all varieties of BD, the previous version of AtM, and X-Weapon, ironically) is a refreshing sight. Also, its sights looks smexy as hell too.
*That goddamn Ghoul hasn't replaced with the Vore, and the Vore hasn't been replaced with...well, you know what I'm harping on at this point.

demon eclipse, i almost forgot. anyway he gonna need to grow some height up for even more unique threatens. his scary look doesn't works if he's smaller than a archvile IMO.

that's for my wish list, otherwise i'm waiting for weasel's determination of wisdom.

Well, I remade the standalone Accessories to Murder HUD some folks here may know of, inspired by the new update (I hope I'm allowed to release this kind of stuff in public, if not, warn me). Here you go. Credit goes to DoomNukem and Wildweasel, obviously.

I believe Voxelbro is currently working on voxelized versions of the new sprites.

My justification is that the AR fires a bullet similar to the .50 Beowulf, which is not bottlenecked.

If someone could sprite those, I'd be very happy.

I really like having vores in this mod. I fail to imagine anything else to be in there place.

Right now they are on the easy side, all I have to do is surpress them with the ar, minigun even both shotguns and the unpowerd sledge hammer.

Will it be overkill to make them deadly as they are in quake?

-Quake like tracking for projectiles and still be shootable.

-Pain chances reduced so there is no direct easy way to kill one

-And a slight increase in speed.

The revamped sprites are amazing, the ar looks much better and the redesigned pickups give this mod its own atmosphere. The best update so far! :D

Well, I'll whip up some bottlenecked casings, since X-Weapon needs some anyway. The idle frames for the other zombies seems reasonable enough; I may yet have a set, if work doesn't rob me of all of my free time today. As far as other voxels are concerned, I'd just use the current pickup sprites until Voxelbro puts out updated pickups.

And the Ghoul...it's just a Revenant with glowy fists, man. You had it down-pat with the Vore replacing the Revenant. While the general consensus seems to be that the Hellion is too diminutive and charming to replace the Archvile, I motion that a new set of sprite be worked on entirely, similar to the Nobles' design. Oh, and any chance the standard Archvile attack could be replaced with a floor hugging projectile instead, a la Doom 3's Archie?

If we're discussing enemy graphics, I'd like to voice a quick gripe I still have (I had a couple others, but they've either been discussed already, or are no longer relevant to the latest version): I'm rather bothered with how the new Baron spontaneously reverts to his old graphics when dying. His skin isn't even the same color...
