ZHalloween [is this even still being worked on?!]

Projects that have specifically been abandoned or considered "dead" get moved here, so people will quit bumping them. If your project has wound up here and it should not be, contact a moderator to have it moved back to the land of the living.

I think farlowj might just be right :P

I added several things over the course of the year when I tried to pick this back up again. It wasn't much, but it is somewhat enough to make a difference. I really, really, REALLY would love to get this thing out, regardless of bugs or what not, but it is incomplete that I know I'd be kidding myself if I tried to get it out this year.

I probably would be better off releasing a demo, of course that means another year of me leaving it to rot on my PC whilst I forget about it again, picking it up every so often when I get an idea.

If anything, I have most definitely been working on one of the maps in ZHalloween, and seeing as that one has the most potential, I could at the least release just that map + some of the resource as a demo. Otherwise, I don't think anything will get released ever and this will just become abandoned.

Any thoughts? That's my 2 cents on the matter. I would love to finish this through and through, but I just don't have enough help to do it.

Then hand it to somebody else and have them revive the project in full circle? Just a thought.

If not, then, yeah, release that map and the (entire) resource. :P

ZHalloween will never make it to KDiZD at this rate. The project will most likely be abandoned, finished, or released (as in don't finish) before it can reach to somewhere around 300(?), unless you start spamming, and the moderators don't care if you do.
It...it was a joke...

I'd say, you should find a project leader that is willing to help carry ZHalloween.

If not, you should release the demo.

After you release the demo, and progress hasn't been great for some time, you should release the resources and the map.

Well, I'm more than happy to lead it. I've just had problems finding people to help me out with it. It only gets daunting when I'm left to do it on my own, which is why I've never gotten much done on it

I've been waiting for this for 3 years, I better just face the fact that it's never being released.

@Kirby: Yes, you've been working on this for a long time. But trust me, you'll feel a lot better if you make sure it's the best you can make it and that you've truly put your hardest effort into it. It's always better to release something When It's Done than to shove a half-baked product out the door.

And I believe you are absolutely right. I'm still gonna work on it until the point where I just can't anymore.

I think that would be best at this point. I'm gonna work on that for now, since it's a lot less daunting then trying to work on the whole chunk at once.

Feel free to file it with Mordeth if you like, but this project isn't dead yet. Besides that, if I know I'm not gonna work on it anymore, I'll most definitely hand it on to someone else who will .So don't give up yet ;)
