scraping the barrels, literally...
And a doom64 resize
*edit*
also made these: inspired by the bins and barrels in duke3d, the first frame is intended to show a barrel being hit by melee, denting in a bit. this would essentially be a melee only pain state.
The second is to show a barrel in a state of damage, much how the barrels behave in duke3d (like those grey ones in the toxic dump only these explode, not collapse...)
essentially if your barrel has half its health or less, it would show the dinked/bashed skin... a good indicator that you've actually hit it and also to show you it wont require much more to set it off...
however, should you want to show your barrel breaking rather than exploding this:
would be ideal. (with some appropriate metal debris) this is inspired by the aforementioned duke3d barrels and also features the 'blob' of jollop within sliding away! this is taken from the duke nukem 2 sidescroller barrels...

victims... aren't we all?
the new frames use the dnf2013 civilian sprites as a base, that are in turn based on blood's "innocents".
yeah, there's a few differences between the two, shoes and clothes not ragged on the new ones on the right but they're not intended for both sets of sprites to be used by the same monster. rather they are two separate monsters. variants if you will. different stages in the state of the survivors, crazed nutters, running about. then more disheveled ones shambling and tripping to their knees and eventually zombification... thats where my "possessed" sprites take over, but that's a different story...

Re: OSJC's Resources (mostly map decorations!)
been playing with the duke3d barrels recently.
initially coming up with a version in the doom colour with dented, and different transfer variants, as well as a firecan version and then it snowballed from there into this: Ive also used resources from shadow warrior and ion fury for the 'jibs' and lid/remains repectively...
you can consider it an unoficial tribute to James Storey, the original 3drealms artist who created the nukage barrels for duke3d back in 96 who we sadly lost back in 2014.
I'll think of him whenever I see them...

Re: OSJC's Resources (mostly map decorations!)
Hi, I actually tried to make an edit of the civilian sprites to try and make them more "Doom/Id"-ish, by giving him the face of the Wolfenstein 3D guard, as well as "fixing" the weird arms and legs
Credits: Monolith, Id Software, OSJCLatchford, Lotos, DNF2013
EDITED: blonde version with easy to recolor hair:
You can recolor the hair, the skin tone, the eye color and ofcourse the shirt color, can probably just be done easily via SLADE
Edited again, had to fix the shirt's weird coloring (like the gray areas that for some reason were left in)
Edited again, I swear this is the last time: here is a PK3 version with the sprites already separated and ready for use in mods + a female version of the civilian for more variety.

Edited again again, added gib sprites as well as a 3rd variant - a fat bald guy civilian (Credits to Skulltag Team for the Chubs marine base)

Re: OSJC's Resources (mostly map decorations!)
hmm me thinks someone wants keycards for kdizd or similar, no?
you could go messing about with slade3 to change them, but thats what I'm here for right? no worries, got you covered, son!
first row is classic, second is kdizd's green, orange, silver and the bottom row is just me playing with brown, pink, purple, black and white...
if you want anything else specific, or skulls just ask...
