Re: Wrath of Cronos RPG 1.5C
Playing through Deathkings as a Ranger right now. It's a nice mod; I'll give critique later once I've completed hexdd with it and formulated a real opinion on it.

Re: Wrath of Cronos RPG 1.5C
Could there be an add-on that removes the alchemy system? I'm not a big fan of having all these different flechettes. If it went back to the old HeXen system where everyone had their own unique flechettes that'd be nice instead of scrolling through all those flasks. Perhaps the Hunter could have the tan flechette's effects and the Necromancer could have the maroon flechette's effect? Just an idea.

Re: Wrath of Cronos RPG 1.6C
This one is a relatively big update with Wrath of Cronos. This one contains a new accessory system that adds several passive effects to your character, though these items are rather rare and you can only equip two of them at the same time. Also, several abilities were adjusted or remade to make this easier to balance.

Re: Wrath of Cronos RPG 1.6
try it on heretic,
there are few items that no show at all "blue mana" as example
the weapons dont have a swing sound and dont have a hit sound too
the reach of the weapons is too short you have almost to be pushing yourself with the enemy

You need to load both the "NotHexenPatch" and Heretic Patch for it to work in Heretic, it is stated in the topic that you must load them when playing on Heretic.Mav3rick wrote:try it on heretic,

While I at least appreciate being able to hit more than one target grouped together with Blight, I don't think that it'll be any more useful other than against enemies on platforms. Other than that, I'll still stick with the poison blast for much quicker amounts of damage. Also, I'm definitely liking the accessory system, especially with the Charm of Spirit accessory meaning that I'll put points into willpower a little less once I pick it up. (Also, a few of the other accessories are situational, pretty much...though the living steel amulet seems very useful.)

FML, had to hotfix because of a bug where you can end up being invincible for an entire map. This is becoming a running gag if you ask me.

Re: Wrath of Cronos RPG 1.6A Hotfix
About the charm of the spirit, does it affect the regeneration rate, or does it increase how much magick and health is regenerated by 50%?
By the way, with the necromancer, I found out that the chaos spell could be stacked onto one target to jack up the rate at which enemies surrounding said target lose health. (Not that I really do it all that much, mind, given that it would drain my magick if I did it.)
Edit: My suggestion for those who want to make excellent use of the Necromancer's chaos spell, I highly recommend turning off auto-target, so you don't cast the spell on the wrong targets (For example, you mean to target the highest-priority target with the highest health like barons or cyberdemons, only to have the spell affect a weaker baddie instead) by mistake.

It increases how much it is regenerated. (Rounded down)

Ah, just wondering. By the way, it seems that Fade lasts way too shortly, even at max level, before I'm vulnerable again. That REALLY sucks for those slaughtermaps.

Re: Wrath of Cronos RPG 1.6A Hotfix
Thetis, I can see you didn't add this in that I came up with, as an addition to SETPROP for the DooM and Heretic patches:
Adding KeepFullInventory to SETPROP in the Heretic and DooM patches will cause the inventory system to work the same as it does in HeXen when playing WoC with Heretic and DooM, permitting you to keep all inventory between levels. This WILL NOT break compatibility with Zandronum, I've tried it myself with Zandronum 1.1.
Code: Select all
GameDefaults
{
KeepFullInventory
}

Have you ever had plans to remake the menu in Wrath of Cronos any, Thetis? Perhaps give it a more Diablo 1 or 2 kind of look? Especially as far as skill allocation is concerned.

Re: Wrath of Cronos RPG 1.6A Hotfix
I am mostly putting this off because I would rather set certain items to keep across maps and Zandronum is updating itself pretty quickly ATM.Patriot1776 wrote:Thetis, I can see you didn't add this in that I came up with, as an addition to SETPROP for the DooM and Heretic patches:

I would like to remake the menu in Wrath of Cronos for a more RPG-ish type of menu, rather than plain text menus but I have 0 skill in image editing.Ryan Cordell wrote:Have you ever had plans to remake the menu in Wrath of Cronos any, Thetis?
