Brutal HeXen - BETA RELEASED

Projects that have specifically been abandoned or considered "dead" get moved here, so people will quit bumping them. If your project has wound up here and it should not be, contact a moderator to have it moved back to the land of the living.

I still haven't had a chance to play this yet, but I am looking forward to it when I do have a chance, this mod looks good so far.

I think the solution is simple: only Baratus should have the combos (since he is the melee badass, and he is supposed to be played by players that wants a more dynamic melee combat with more powerful melee attacks), and Parias's mace will work similar to the original (just hold the fire button and let it smash stuff, but with more animations of course).

@Vallherran, I think the system already is very simple. I noticed that you can "cheat", and hold the fire button right after you release it to make the first combo, making it impossible to miss. Yes, I checked your last post, I am taking notes.

Yes, exclude the cleric from fun stuff. Go on. Great idea, I like your planning.

You know, you're not helping by being sarcastic and all passive-aggressive and stuff. For some people healing others is just as enjoyable if not moreso than hurting them.

He'd heal and buff the enemies until their black, black hearts stop beating and burst out in a violent show of blood and gore from their chests!

Never said he would be helpless, or that he couldn't heal himself which is a huge boon. Way to be a bunch of jerks.

How about letting clerics brew or something? Mix a little bit of this into this here flechette and poof, it's a potion. Or a little bit of this into a health potion and now it's a splash potion! (shameless rip) But seriously, I see no reason why he couldn't learn to craft his own items with enough gore and such lying around.

How about making the monsters have a 25% chance of dropping gold. And if the player has enough gold in his/her inventory, by pressing a button the player will perform a special attack.

BLECH. Gold powered attacks should die with TP's magic armor. I'd rather buy ingredients with it or make new potions that fill new roles or emulate other existing powerups. I also wouldn't mind some randomality to the potion making if I'm going from ingredients... though that would have its own hotly debated topic.

I'm barely exaggerating. Sometimes it takes one axe swing to kill an ettin. Sometimes it takes 5. Sometimes an ettin will hit me and I won't take any damage, sometimes I'll have my shield up and get hit anyway. Why is it that a fighter has to run away from 3 ettins?

Welp.

Someone needs a lockpick so that they can ineffectually unlock their enemies. :P
