[WIP] The Pistol Mod

Hi, this mod is the first real mod release I've made.
It is a basic weapons replacement mod which replaces the weapons in Doom 1 and 2 with various HandGuns.

The Chainsaw is replaced with the Chain-Claw.
The Fist and Pistol are replaced with a Basic Pistol that has a kick for an altfire.
The Chaingun is replaced with a Machine-Pistol that does less damage but has a fast firing rate.
The Shotgun is replaced with a heavy pistol akin to the Deagle. It pushes enemies away and has high damage to make up for only being able to hit one enemy.
The SuperShotgun is replaced with the Mini-Buss, a blunderbuss that has a medium-wide spread that consumes 3 rounds but does somewhat high damage and pushes back enemies.
The Rocketlauncher is replaced with a Flare Gun which explodes on impact and leaves a trail of damaging particles.
The PlasmaRifle is replaced with a Laser Blaster, which shoots faster projectiles but does less damage.
The BFG9000 is replaced with the Golden gun. It shoots a single bullet that does a ton of damage!
Though most of the sprites are made from scratch, some of them use resources.

Sixth Update:
-LaserGun now non secret plasma replacement
-Flak Bullet moves faster
-Flaregun range lowered, damage nerfed.
-Mini-Buss does more damage, more inaccurate
-Flare trail does less damage

I did once attempt a similar mod in EDGE, back in the early part of the 2000's, but I called it "Pistol Panic!". The resources just weren't available at the time, though, so I canned it. Congrats for actually making it and finishing it! (I'll have to play with it later though.)

now this is a lot of fun. no it doesnt have the fanciest of features or the fanciest of effects, but this harkens back to the good ol' dehacked days, a good dehacked mod. its just a lotta classic old school weapon mod silliness when all that matters are the guns and the fun with em. you did well~

Just wondering, does it bug people if a gameplay mod changes titlepic or DM2_TTL? I was considering making a title for the mod.

A new weapon has been added! Find a backpack to check it out. Here's a tip, it works much better on groups of large enemies than single small enemies.

Gave this a whirl, it's loads of fun, I love it! Echoing what Chronoteeth said, it's nice and simple, and that's what makes it so enjoyable. I do have a few suggestions.

1. Maybe make the kick be an altfire for all the guns? I mean, they're all pistols, so why not?
2. The taser could maybe be centered a bit better. It might just be a personal thing but when my weapon is touching the crosshair it's kinda weird.
3. I feel the projectile for the SUPAR SEKRIT XTRA WEPON should fly faster. I'm not too knowledgeable about ripper weapons, but you'd have to bump up its damage a tad to keep it at the same overall strength, I think.
4. The Golden Gun being a golden gun that doesn't shoot a single perfectly accurate but devastatingly damaging bullet throws me off, but that's because I played too much Goldeneye on my friend's N64 back in the day. Do with that what you will.

1. I'll think about it, seems reasonable.
2. Yeah, I noticed that recently. I'm probably going to replace the chainsaw any because the tazer doesn't really fit with the theme.
3. Good point. I will edit it soon.
4. If I made it like the goldeneye pistol I'd still have to do something to justify the cell ammo... Maybe make it a railgun?

It might be better to make it a little golden ball of energy that looks relatively harmless but then makes a huge explosion on impact. Could be justified in that 50 energy cell's worth of energy confined into such a tiny space would be extremely volatile. :)

Shotguns only you say? I actually have an elemental shotguns mod in the works.

Found a bug almost right off the bat; the machine pistol's kick takes ammo to use. Unless my leg is now powered by gunpowder, I'm pretty sure that's a bug. :P
Other than that, great! The chain claw is neat, although I would debate its status as a pistol if you have to hold it with two hands, but hey, whatever.
