If you want to make original monsters and can't draw worth a crap, why not use a digital camera and take pics of an action figure in all the doom poses? How do you think ID did a lot of their monsters?

I was always thinking of taking up clay modelling for this purpose... with high quality clay I could make some impressive monsters... Wasn't that how the blood monsters were done? They have a certain styl;e about them that looks really cool... and gorey

@Ringman - ...with Fuzzy Pallete Pumper, they took the images and Doom Paletized them, shrunk'em, then made a few small changes to add in a little extra detail.

This is how the new TR enemies have been done. I have five models and, so far, three actors. There will be at least one more, and then perhaps a few variations. I found tat it takes a fair proficiency with imaging techniques, but once you've got it you can build an action set that does most of the work for you. You do need to watch for colorization that will palettize well, but if you keep this in mind while building your models then it will not be a big issue. I usually add in a selective recolorization just to ensure a good match when it palettizes.

You still need some skill in drawing, as muzzle flashes and the like are very difficult to model.

Yes I know, but its bigger.
A html file is not easily readable with a text editor, and it can be scrambled with crappy tags.
I know too that a text file can be encoded in utf-8, which is special to read when you dont know how to translate it..

Yes, I imagine the extra 60 or so bytes used by tags would just INFLATE the zip.

I think he actually meant that it's not easily readable if you wanted to read it with all it's code in a text document. Otherwise obviously a computer with a web-browser (i.e. every damn computer on the planet) would easily read an HTML file....
