Thanks. I studied this odd phenomenon and it looks to be an instability you probably found by accident. Playing with the map, I found that the hopping megasphere is very sensitive to the slope. The only starting floor heights for your trangular sectors that seem to work are -23 or -24. Other values result in slopes that leave the megasphere stable. The working slope is just a fraction steeper than 45 degrees.
The sphere still hops without the ceiling sectors dropping over the sphere. It won't hop as soon as you let the ceiling get close enough.

I guess that's because it gets "stuck". I suppose that this behaviour occurs because as the megasphere (or any thing for that matter) slides down the slope, it gains enough speed to slides up another one, and so on, non-stop. I spotted this little bug a while ago, but I had really no place to put it as it seemed to posess only a humorous value.Biff wrote:The sphere still hops without the ceiling sectors dropping over the sphere. Randomlag hasn't posted since we ignored him though... I mean, not pushed the button but changed the subject. What is this ignore button anyway? What does it do? How does it work?
I'd like to say one thing but it would just mean that RL would have to post and this topic would get locked... Mmmm, that's not a bad idea
.
No, sereously, this ignore thing scares me... I'm not going to get ignored am I? If I do one little thing wrong and I get ignoired... that will like destroy my existance

@Lexus: 'Ignoring' means that the contents of the posts of those members are not displayed. That is, if the worthless blabberings of certain individals annoy you too much you can filter them out that way. For me it means that I don't have to bother with RandomLag anymore!
It still gets displayed that he posted but his contents are not. Knowing for sure that I am not the only one who is doing that it'll mean that this forum is no longer a suitable platform for his trolling.
