As you have seen before, I have been using the jaguar sprites and altering/replacing them to closer match the style of the original wolf3d and to a latter extent the snes sprites.
well I was looking at the AJ rocket launcher sprite and knew I disliked it but couldn't quite put my finger on why.
I have since realised that, like with the pistol, as its just a doom sprite re-hash it looks too doomish and as such lacks induviduality, ruining the gaming experience.
now, obviously, there was no rocket launcher in the id original but, of course, the snes featured one (as is used by afafdoomer in his tc).
This, although quite simple, had a more unique look and certainly fitted in with the classic wolf weapons. as I have been remaking said weapons to the doom/Atari Jaguar standard I decided to give this one a go.

the observant among you will see that its actually based off of the DooM chaingun sprite and features a muzzleflash from blood, recoloured to better match my previous wolf3d weapon sprites.
Although quite plain, I feel it retains the induvidual wolfenstinian look I desired, but is in keeping with the quality of the jaguar sprites.

Oh, just one more thing:
before anyone asks I will not be rplacing the AJ flamer sprite as this is simply a better version of the snes flamer sprites and is perfect in wolf3d as it is.
However what I'd really like now is the snes pickup-sprites for not only the rocket launcher and ammo but the flamer and ammo too. Its just that I like the pickup spites to remain low res as I feel they fit in with the charecters and original items better. I've searched but cant find them, anyone got these at all?
