Whenever i try to open ZDL 3.2.2.2 it doesn't work, but instead loads a blank white space and remains there like that indefinetly. Does anyone know how to fix it?

Are there any widgets of graphical elements that show up? If not, then it sounds like an OS issue. What version of Windows are you on? Any information about your setup would help.

Pretty much all of those links are broken. Luckily I downloaded ZDL 3.2.2.2 before they went down so I zipped the files and uplaoded it to Mediafire. If anyone is interested you can download it from here ---> http://www.mediafire.com/download/rsppc ... .2.2.2.zip enjoy!

Kudos for being considerate but I think this is a better starting point:fridgeofdoom wrote:Pretty much all of those links are broken. Users can get the updated version from there. 3.2.2.3 beta I believe.

Just to make sure that nobody downloads a bad zip in the future, the file hashes I have of the originals are:
ZDL-3.2.2.2-stable.zip
Edit: Actually, I may have found it. I'll post hashes for that on Tuesday if that's the case.

Can't you recompile it?

Re: ZDL 3.2.2.2 Released (UPDATED August 8th 2012)
The build infrastructure I had setup is long gone, and I haven't used Windows at home in 10 years. My virtual machine that did the building died, and I haven't had time to put it back together. There really hasn't been any need to come back to ZDL, there haven't been any major bugs that I've known about.VGA wrote:Can't you recompile it?

Re: ZDL 3.2.2.2 Released (UPDATED August 8th 2012)
I constantly use it and haven't encountered any bugs I think. My only gripe is that it is hard to see what is actually selected in the IWAD list. The difference in color between the active/selected iwad and the rest of them is too small (when the focus is on another element like the pwad list)

Can you show me a screenshot? Back when I was writing ZDL, the selected was dark blue and the unselected was white, but I think I used the Windows Classic (9x) theme.

Re: ZDL 3.2.2.2 Released (UPDATED August 8th 2012)
I just want to say that I've spent several weeks playtesting other Linux-compatible DOOM frontends (specifically, SSGL and Rocket Launcher 2), and I now think ZDL is still the best. I like the simple workflow and UI, I like how it has such excellent support for .deh files, and I like how it clearly has had a decade's worth of bug fixes.
The only suggestions I could make are to allow the use of drag-and-drop to reorder the PWAD list, and maybe update the codebase to Qt 5.
Note: I am a Qt expert, and I'd be happy to make any improvements that you request or approve.

Biohazard created ZDL and a few other good people contributed to it. You should fork it and continue development.dugan-c wrote:I just want to say that I've spent several weeks playtesting other Linux-compatible DOOM frontends (specifically, SSGL and Rocket Launcher 2), and I now think ZDL is still the best.
