[Project] "Knee-Deep in ZDoom"

New maps, and other projects whose primary focus is new maps, belong here.

yeah, besides, I wasn't really good at detailing when I started on the project TBH but since I had my other wad in the works I got better. You should see my current project. 1 day's work and it's very nicely detailed if I say so myself.;) You just need more experience and this particular project supplies plenty opportunities to improve immensly due to the level of detail in the maps.:D

Oh and check Torm's site. He's got a killer detailing guide. It's very useful.

NMN: Intro and titlemap are the same. When the intro sequence plays all the way through, you will need some sort of graphic or repeating sequence at the end. whatever this happens to be will end up in the same map. Talk to Bio, he already has some work done.

Yeah. Working on this project showed that I needed to inprove ALOT on what skills I already had.

However is working at E1m3 at the moment-ellmo conatcted me that he IS out, but he will donate his efforts on this map. Whoever is working on it-hold Yourselves and work on something else ATM I kindly ask ya. He needs to wrap a script for that other project and with the map I'll recieve it. Then You will have less work :)
I was working on that map, and had a few good scenes going, but oh well. Has ellmo already created the improved version? If not, I suppose I could just point out the areas I'm working on (the underground part that leads to the impaled corpse pentagram thing, and the O-room above the nukage that was in the original map).

aww... dont be sad for my parting!

i never said i wouldnt do a credits map, i just said that i dont want to work on it while progress is being made elsewhere... i want to work to be done on it [the credits map] last. (after all: you cant write the end of a story first) also, i need music real bad. someone who is good with mods talk to me in #NZDR, i have 3 .XMs i want megamixed for the credits map.

im also still working on co-op support cause nobody can do it as well as destroyer, risen and i. :)




for those of you wondering what those "other things" i spoke of earlier are, im not cheating on zdoom with another game ;)

i might be gone for 6 months max. im sure i'll get inspired sometime or another before then... i hope...

Wait, I have to pick a slot each week? Well, I'll randomly pick w1 e1m4, w2 e1m5, w3 e1m4. Can't really beta test much since I've been having some problems with ZDoom lately.

Apologies to anyone unable to access my server over the past 24 hours or so. Around 10 or 11 last night (GMT-0800), I decided to reformat my PC in order to remove a few problems I'd been having. I'm still in the process of reconfiguring and recustomizing my system (registry modifications and service management takes forever for some reason). Anyway, the server should be back up and functioning just as before, and again I apologize for the sudden and unexpected downtime, as well as any related inconvenience.

Crud, I don't know what to work on anymore... I'd like to think that I haven't wasted my time fixing up e1m3 but I think I have.

Vile-yes, improve the caverns there, plus, ensure the underground areas (the half-detail ones) are good. AFAIK ellmo improved the upper levels of refinery (including the yellow key area-i.e. everything You can see now. What is his latter progress I do not know. He said he will send me the map, but I don't see it so far. His screenshots were looking very impressing, so please, wait for a moment. I'm going to kick his lazy/occupied arse with some mails, we'll give him a week or so, ok? In the meantime, I believe the least detailed parts would probably be the exit areas, as, according to me, he usually follows the path of the map when detailing.

FarlowJ-nope, Vile is working on e1m3, take a different map, and thx for offering.
EDIT: Could You take e1m6? Read below.

Biohazard-can You send me the work You've done on the Titlemap? It will be very helpful.

Woolie-Tormentor made a deal-make 2-3 rooms with our resources and we'll see if ya get the "e1 feeling" ;) But I'm always looking forward to new mappers.

Kirby-dude, please if You have nothing considering this project to say don't post.

ATTN: Can someone take e1m6 from me? Pretty please? The intro and all what is planned for it will take enough from me, not to mention my genetic lack of time ;) so I'll much appreciate it. I'll post the map within 1-2 hours.

Man, I can't wait to see what E1M1 and E1M3 look like! Just cause they both involve bridges over acid pools. ^_^
