effects? Along with the weapons or just flare gun. I loved watching the enemies in that game run around screaming on fire.

Brutaldoom adds the flaming bodies to doom, they're used when humans are set on fire by imps/lost souls, or are hurt but not killed by an explosive barrel.

The graphics are great for the guns but I find it funny how the guns look so real and the Doom enemies are the same 2.5d enemies haha.

Brutal Doom uses Strife's fire death, not Blood's.

I found it really fun myself, though it's a bit different to standard doom fare.
I suppose it's just horses for courses.

I'm pretty sure some of Daniel's old wads used a fairly decent simulation, one off the top of my head is Arsenal.wad.

There's also the flaming death sequence from TR_1337guns, which, in my opinion, has the best flamethrower that any wad maker has attempted thus far.

The problem I have with the Blood flaming death is that it looks very different in style to Doom graphics. The flames are kinda-sorta realistic looking when compared to the more pixel-drawn flames available in Doom (Archvile fire, flaming barrel). IMO, you can just about get away with the Strife flaming death but the Blood one jars a bit too much for me.
