Re: Custom Texture Thread.
If you've spent any time hanging around this thread, you've probably noticed that I quite like animated computer textures. So, here are a few animated gifs that I thought would convert well to computer panels. (The one on the right has been posted before but this is a slight improvement).

@Darkcrafter: I knew someone would do this
@Enjay: Wow! Nice work. Can we have some Doom default computer replacements?

Re: Custom Texture Thread.
WildWeasel posted a palletified pic of a healing surgery incision of his, and I felt like I had to make it into a Doom flesh tex. Probably a terrible edit, but hey, at least I tried.

Nice. I'll hang on to them for possible future use if that's OK.

Re: Custom Texture Thread.

A quick and dirty attempt at making a tiling concrete texture in Krita using the in-built texture brushes and this tutorial. For something that took ~20 - 30 minutes, I'm pretty satisfied with the end result! There's visible seams on some of the edges, but nothing worse than a few of the organic textures already in Doom. Feel free to use for whatever purpose you may have in mind.

Hi, I'm working on some underground maps. Does anyone have something like a cave sky? The maps are supposed to take place in a massive cave (like a giant dome).

Re: Custom Texture Thread.
Just a window, based on the Romero's unreleased stuff. Plus three walls (the last two in their original form were used in Doom Tribute). I will say right away, I deliberately almost did not "clean" the pixels from the original picture (so you can polish it if anyone suddenly wishes). In my opinion, this is what the textures of the houses in the original Doom 2 should have been. You can do whatever you want with it, and use it wherever you want.
ED: Added a version with grille (also based on Romero's pictures).
ED 2: Fixed glass flare's pixels. The changes are very minor, but you can re-upload file, if you want and use it already.

Awesome. Always kinda thought the original window was ugly as sin!

Yeah, I think I like that better than what appeared in game too.

In any case, you see, this is absolutely not an American style. And all the more so not what is typical of modern cities.Jimmy wrote:Awesome. Always kinda thought the original window was ugly as sin!

Hello, old member who forgot his previous IDs here
I didn't know where to post what I'm about to ask, so I leave it here. Does these textures have some sort of license ?
I mean, I know that lots of these are used in mods for other games such as Duke 3D and Quake, so I was wondering if these textures could be used in an actual freeware game project instead of a mod ?
Thank you !
