Go ahead, I'll put your maps down on the taken list. Good luck with the map.

I like - but why is Support2 not just 24 units?

Re: [WIP]Fusion Mapping Take #2
I think that would be more of a case of "Terranova Screw Around With Textures" (tm).
But yeah, since i'm having a crapload of work to do, i might take a bit more time than i should. I can only say that the beginning area will be more like some kind of waste dump reservoir.

Re: [WIP]Fusion Mapping Take #2
Thanks for the bump there Hellser.
Anyway after being away for something like a year I have come back and have started chipping away at this project.
Not much has been done this last year since I've been away but there has been some progress.
Continued work on "Courtyard of the Damned" is underway, and two maps have been completed with more on the way. "Courtyard of the Damned" is still in it's alpha stages, however.
A lot of the past claimed maps have been wiped from the taken list because it's been about a year and I haven't heard a thing from any of those mappers on the progress on their maps. The new list is more informative about where the project is in terms of what is done, being done, and what needs done anyway.

I was actually watching this thread for a while ever since it came into view, anyway first of all I would like to say I am glad progress is getting done as I enjoyed the first three maps that were released before.

Re: [WIP]Fusion Mapping Take #2
You'll have to show some examples of your work and have a more definite idea of what you would want to do, but first I'd need to see how your maps look.
It's not that I'm being super exclusive with the mappers or anything but when the project is all finished I do want the maps to be all at least somewhere near the same quality, so I can't really let a totally new mapper add maps because it really would just create more work for everyone else involved to get the map up to oar with the rest.

He's made several DTWID submissions, of which I'd point to E2M9 of DTWID-LE ("Petersen Station") as a particularly solid map.

Re: [WIP]Fusion Mapping Take #2
So I just had a little idea if anyone wants to take this on, a hexen or doom map possibly fused with one of duke nukems although it would take a lot of skill and other added effects.

Re: [WIP]Fusion Mapping Take #2
The tricky part there would be that, with the exception of most of Episode 2, most of Duke 3D's maps are obviously patterned after real places, with the emphasis seemingly placed on the areas looking "lived in" and a level progression designed around them, rather than the level progression defining the map itself. That said, a medieval-flavored Hollywood Holocaust would certainly be interesting, with the movie theater perhaps replaced with a Shakespearean stage, the lobby replaced with a covered market, and the arcade replaced with...hell, probably a tavern or something.
For a real challenge, though, I'd love to see Hexen's Guardian of Steel replaced with a Duke E2-style moonbase. =P
