Well, Venus not only have a very high temperature and presion, it also have a very dense atmosphere..... most composed of sulfuric acid, maybe any open sector may be letal for the doomguy or very damaging (maybe radiation suit can protect the doomguy in those areas)

Hmm, I'll see what I can whip up for Venus scenery - I very much doubt this will be an outdoors map, but a good skybox/environment texture will do it good.

Hmm... about the weapons. I'm looking for a good side-held revolver sprite . However, I've onl found one so far, and it doesn't look very doomish.

Anyways: nope. The revolver I posted won't work too good. :P ANd Nick, thanks, but there are 2 problems: I'm really trying to look for a side-held one, and that's from Surge 3, so I can't use it. :P

ANyone know of any other good ones?

Also, does this MP5 sprite look good? Yes, it's a HL2 Model rip, but it's the best looking one I've seen so far.

If you're ripping models from the HL series, there's always the HL 1 revolver...

Yeah, good point. At first I didn't want to because everyone here seems to hate model rip sprites, but oh well. :P

@Agent ME - Well, I just want the planet to have a starsky, surrounded by red/orange mountains, that's why I said that *g*

@Hotwax - You know, the space-marine's suite is a high-tech thing and works EVERYWHERE ;)

@Xaser & the personb which works on new weapons: First at all, no Model2Sprite conversions, no rips from 3d games, this always looks damn ugly! Also, most of the original doom weapons should stay, it is enough if you add special ones (doomish ones) with the help of spawning heretic/hexen stuff in our doom map!

Most of the original doom weapons stay? What? What I meant was to do a full weapon replacement, here, becuase I'm sick and tired of the original Doom weapons, and so are alot of other people here. I was planning on doing a few Hexen/Heretic weapon conversions, though, and I'm doing those no matter what.

I'm confused, now. Why shouldn't we create a new weapon conversion? It would be much more interesting and fun to play with different weapons.

And about the model rips: Couldn't you just wait and see the sprites first before just saying no to them? Not all of model rips are bad. Did that MP5 picture above look like total shit? I don't think so. Besides, if I were to make a model-rip sprite of a Doom3 weapon when It comes out, do you think that would look really bad? Oh, come on. Don't just say that because one model-rip sprite is bad, that all of them are bad. That just annoys me. And besides, I've already added that MP3, so there. :P

Now finally, what is with your desire to keep everything doomish? Just because this is Doom doesn't mean every wad made for it has to be doomish. Some of the best wads ever created, such as Massmouth 2, are not very doomish at all. Besides, if we wanted to keep everything so doomish, then why are we using advanced Zdoom features and scripting?

Okay, now I really don't know where I want to go with this. What do I do now?

I don't mind it not being "Doomish", as long as you don't do something like what they are doing with the JDoom Arena and basically make it something like Counterstrike or UT, because doom is NOT UT or CS.

[EDIT]And I don't mind 3d model sprites, I actually kind of like them at times, they just seem to look better to me...

Did you know that the duke nukem 3d sprites were first 3d models and then they made them into sprites? I bet DooM was like that too.
