Baronbecue is a single map PWad intended to be a remake of TNT Map02: Human BBQ. Consistent with TNT’s gameplay style, it will feature: intense battles and will quickly give the player better weapons and harder enemies. However, I’m bringing my creative skill to the table to make a much more detailed, larger scale map, with variations on the theme of TNT Map02 that will allow for a little less linear gameplay. However, it will still contain keys and a teleporter puzzle consistent with Human BBQ.
At this point I’m about 2/3 of the way through the master plan of the map layout, and only about 1/3 of the way through detailing.
I don’t know precisely when I’ll be releasing this (could be anytime in the next week or two... or three).
Any thoughts on compatibility with the Doom2 IWad? I don’t want to alienate people who don’t have TNT.wad, but I figure most people have it.
Also, I know there are HOM effects on some of the outdoor screenshots, that’s because I haven’t finished the courtyard where all the main action takes place (It’s over 2000x2500mp in size).
