SBrightmaps.pk3 - Doom IWAD Brightmaps

For high-res texture/sprite projects, sprite-fix patches, music add-ons, music randomizers, and other graphic/sound-only projects.

Projects for any Doom-based engine (especially 3DGE) are perfectly acceptable here too.

alright, i tried this mod out, it makes DooM look a lot more awesomer than i expected. one thing that bothered me is how bright zombie's eyes look, but other than that, fantastic work!

is this the most complete/best brightmap for doom1 and 2?

nice to see an alternative to mine, i was eventually planning to add eyes glowing but never got round to it

You place it in Zandronums skins folder or drag and drop it onto zandronum

While this thread is bumped might I ask what is the difference between these and the brightmaps included with GzDOOM?

The standard brightmap pack for GZDoom does not contain any texture brightmap. This one does. On the sprite front, monsters don't have glowing eyes in the standard pack.

I see, thank you for clearing that up for me. I never realised the brightmap pack supplied with GzDOOM didn't have texture brightmaps. Interesting.

Does that mean we should still use lights.pk3 in addition to sbrightmaps.pk3 since sbrightmaps.pk3 really only replaces brightsmaps.pk3?

Would these be of use in BrutalSE ? I thought Brutal v19 already had some brightmaps and then SigFloyd made an addon pack for the monsters right? So in the end do these still provide additional brightmaps ?
