[Mapping/DB2] Door textures in outdoor area? RESOLVED

I'm working on a map that has an outdoor area that leads into a base but when I make the outdoor area and try to add a door it doesn't work. I've tried adding a door to the edge of the sector and I've tried making doors in the middle but it doesn't work :( In DB2 I can see the door texture but ingame I just get a HOM. I've uploaded the wad and attached some imagees If anybody can help I'd greatly appreciate it.

Edit: The wad and the screenshots are different. In the screens I was trying to see if I could make the door work another way (i.e adding it to the middle of the sector vs building a door on the edge)

I can't check the map ATM but skies have their own set of rules. I suspect the the ceiling of your door sector has F_SKY on it. Putting a sky on a ceiling hides the upper textures and makes the sector be drawn as part of the rest of the sky. It can be used for lots of interesting effects but, in this case, it's clearly not what you want.

If this is your problem, put a different flat on the door sector ceiling (ie the bottom of the door) and see what happens.

On a side note, you might want to think about putting another sector in front of your door, otherwise it will look like your door is rising up into the sky and disappearing when you open it.
