Secret Level: Hidden Complex.

Added some more commentary to the videos in general. Originally wanted to add audio commentary while playing but had some microphone issues, unfortunately.

Level 5

Level 6. This was fun. Died three times, then completed it but forgot to start the recorder and had to do it again.

Level 7. I think this and level 1 are my favourite maps in the level set.

EDIT: Actually did three levels. Forgot the level 5 playthrough, which is now added above.

It's modding, specifically applying to console games, where the entire ROM image of the game has to be manipulated as a whole, as opposed to being able to mess with individual files like on a PC game. A lot of times, this involves disassembling the game itself to figure out where the resources are stored at and how, as well as using debuggers and memory viewers to identify how the game is actually accessing said data.

Patching tools are usually used to make it not as illegal... However, this also means you usually need a ROM of a specific version. (For example, a patch for a (JP) Super Metroid ROM might not work on a (U) one...)

I guess I should have mentioned a long time ago that I've started streaming Doom WADs. I went through KDiZD and TUTNT, you can just watch the recordings for now before twitch deletes them. I'll see about putting them on my YouTube channel later.

Since I forgot to do actual splits when switching games, the KDiZD one has Freedom Planet stuck right after it and the TUTNT one has me dicking around through Deus Vult II with Russian Overkill.

(I am aware that Brutal Doom is somewhat of a Hated/Taboo thing around here "not sure about its addons/spinoffs" because of the forum drama that it induces and the pure fact that the guy who created this is a total sociopathic/xenophobic ass "understatement of the millenia", But I am by no means trying to start a forum war with the community that I am glad to be a part of, all that I am doing is sharing my enjoyment of the game/mod with the community . "and for those that are concerned even though I do extremely like the Brutal series of mods I also enjoy all the other gameplay mods that are out there the same way")
