There's nothing like crossovers planned, because we're strictly following the Doom Bible. Maybe you could add in Corporal Flynn Taggart (kind of as a joke sort of, or just to extend the character roster) and have him start out with a pistol. The only catch is that the Rifle is slightly weaker than the Pistol and slightly less accurate than the Pistol. And the Chaingun would be slower starting up (kind of like in Doom 3) and the Machinegun would be more used.
Also, you could make it your own.
While I do realize you are following the Doom bible. Do something that makes you feel happy, I mean don't be Tom Hall. You are hfc2x right? You are one of the greatest modders besides wildweasel and others that I can think of.
Just do what makes the most sense. I mean this is Doom.

Basically, what demo_the_man said. I know the Spray Rifle sounded redundant, but I just didn't want to scrap it, because it sounded like a cool weapon. I think I found a way to add the chaingun and maybe the pistol to. There could be 2 seperate wad files and if you load both it would include the chaingun and pistol for all characters and the changun would act different for everyone but the pistol would be the same for all characters. Just an idea though. For all I know it might not work at all. PS I saw what you did to the spray rifle and it looks cool. I like how you changed it from firing bullets to cells.

The doom bible says "Cells. Plasma Gun, BFG 2704.Grenades. Grenade launcher."
Will you include the so called grenade laucher and grenades or do you not know what to do with them? Also will the bfg act like the finale or like the press release beta one? I changed the Grenade Launcher the same way I plan to change the Spray Rifle. It actually uses Rockets, because why Cells? I couldn't think of any possible way the Grenade Launcher could use cells to fire bouncing explosives. And besides, the Grenade Launcher will be a Deathmatch-exclusive weapon, just like several items in the game.

Anyways, to answer your question, the BFG fires like the Press Beta version, but the projectiles look and act different (you could say it's kind of a cool disaster). I saved the "BFG Splash" effect of finished Doom to serve a better purpose.

I know that there is no pistol in the game but what do you think the officer's pistol would do?
