I'm trying to make a model in 3DS max, then render it from the 8 different angles to be used as sprites in Doom.
So far I have it set up manually where I placed 8 cameras around the object, pose the object, then render.
It's extremely tedious and I'm constantly making mistakes. I plan on writing an exporter plugin that automatically exports a sprite after rendering it from the 8 different angles. I was just wondering if something like this exists already so I don't have to go through the trouble.

By the way, you can use a total of [wiki=sprite]16 angles[/wiki] instead of a paltry 8.

Yeah I was gonna add an option to do 16 angles for people who wanted to.
I just want my sprites to fit in with the actual Doom sprites so I'll only use 8 angles.
Maybe I'll even export the pngs cropped and having the offset info so you don't have to manually do it. Maybe...
