A DLC isn't a proper sequel, and you know it! Corporate bastard! See if I buy anything of yours ever again!Scuba Steve wrote:It's called Dead of Winter...

One of our setbacks has been our main artist getting himself addicted to this dumb MMO, "Real Life". Xaser himself has been busy with a number of other projects. (ZDCMP2 comes to mind.) Haven't seen anything from the mappers (I think there are about 3 of them?) in a while.

Re: Hacx 2.0 -- Hacxmas Alpha!
I had the good fortune of playing the Alpha recently. I really enjoyed the tune-ups of MAP01, 02 and 06. I relayed my more detailed thoughts to Xaser but I like that the team is taking the game in more of a BUILD engine direction, since it seemed to me when I played the original a few years ago that Hacx felt like a bridge between Doom and BUILD with its shootable props and theme levels. All of the new sprites and effects look great, IMO, and from what I saw poking around in SLADE3, I'm pretty excited to see things develop. It's unfortunate that there's so little interest in Hacx; I hope a few more superb authors join the team and help make it the premiere action-packed cyberpunk FPS it should have been.

believe he's just a prop for the old China levels. As far as 2.0, I can only hope that it'll be decided that "NPCs" are really out of place in a "monsters killing everyone" scenario.VGA wrote:What's the story behind this guy ?

(An empty rickshaw would be more fitting, I think.)

I'm playing 1.2 version on ZDoom and I don't have a crosshair like this one:

Why ? Did the original have a crosshair ?
EDIT: Also what is up with the black texture buildings in that video ?

Yeah, it does... but you only get this "crosshair" from the Cryogun.VGA wrote:I'm playing 1.2 version on ZDoom and I don't have a crosshair like this one:

Re: Hacx 2.0 -- Hacxmas Alpha!
2.0 deliberately cuts the (rather ugly) crosshair from the Cryogun sprites. In ZDoom it's basically pointless, though I don't know about EE for sure.

It seems the Cryogun crosshair has been removed from 1.2.
Also, what is up with those black textures in the video, on those buildings ?
By the way, I'm just starting MAP08, the game is awesome so far, but the music is *sometimes* bad. In MAP08 it is just atrocious, jesussss...
