[Contest] Doom Mutator Contest 2!

Projects that have specifically been abandoned or considered "dead" get moved here, so people will quit bumping them. If your project has wound up here and it should not be, contact a moderator to have it moved back to the land of the living.

It's all about the fun we have while making these, and the fun we share with eachother by playing what others have made.

What makes this different from just simply making the mod of our dreams is that there are some rules and limits which we must obey.
It's a 100% friendly competition, and even then, you don't have to feel competitive to contribute... there's nothing you get by winning aside from perhaps a few congratulations and a miniscule fame..

And it's always fun to see what crazy and fun things people come up with.
And personally, the limits actually inspire me to do stuff I would otherwise have never done.

BTW I haven't touched my entry in a while.. damn women, and lack of personal interest. :(

BUMP

I hope Cutman's not forgotten about this. :?

Anyway, I just finished working on what I'm calling "v1.2" of Omega. Get it here:
http://jimmy.phenomer.net/wad-files/j-omega-v1.2.zip
Spoiler: Long list of changes
I'm eager to get feedback from this, because I've radically changed quite a lot about this mod, and, unless there's something immediately wrong with it, I'm prepared to call this my finished entry. Any criticism will be appreciated. :P

Have fun. :D

Everything uses a form of Plasma.
Plasma Shells, Plasma bullets, etc....
All the monsters are strange.
The BFGBALL is sentient.

(I just did this for fun, so don't expect anything crazy- or slick HUDs and "floating" numbers, this is str8 up "dehacked looking" garbage....Thank you. Read the text file I guess....)
Edit: I don't believe I will update/fix/or tighten up anything here as I did it for fun. Really, this was just an "I'm bored" kinda thing.
The download link isn't working for me.

*poof*

UT2k4 Dodging - If you've ever played an Unreal game (UNREAL 2 IS NOT AN UNREAL GAME YOU'RE ALL BLASPHEMERS), you should automatically know what you can do in this mod. If you've played UT2k4, well it's kinda obvious. For everyone else, go read the following paragraph.

Basically, this mod allows you to dodge by double-tapping a movement key (like in Unreal (Tournament (200[34]|3))). And in case that didn't break the game enough, you can also wall-dodge (wall-jumping but more epic) by (*drumroll*) double-tapping a movement key against the wall. For example, if there's a wall to your left, and you're in mid-air, double-tap right and suddenly you're rocketing away from the wall.
Also, you can multi-jump. Set mjmp_jumpcount (you'll need to use the 'set' command at first - archive it afterwards) to specify the amount of jumps you get. Default is 2.

In case you're wondering, yes this makes MAP15 the best Doom II map ever.

No screenshots - do you really want to see someone with a pistol in midair?

Well, at least for making a mutator, my Disposable Heroes will be easy to acknowledge this once I'm done with the mod in it's entirety. I'll just have to have it use regular doom sounds for a mutator version and then I can submit it here.

Neato! I always did want to implement this into Parkour, but never got around to it. I'd have likely made the thrust much less, though.

That Unreal style dodging is cool, it even works perfectly with Parkour!
Too bad there isn't that many levels that are huge enough to test this with...

Nor has any judging actually taken place. It also doesn't help that Cutty has been suspiciously absent for a while... :P
