I am looking for some sounds:

1) Portcullis opening/closing sonud
2) Gate open/close
3) Metal door open/close
4) Some dungeon-y ambient sounds would be great

Anyone with dungeon-like games care to rip some for me? The Thief games come to mind right now.

Nope, dungeon layout is generated in-game using ACS. Everytime you restart the map, the layout changes.

NS: Thanks for the Hexen sounds. Quite a bunch of stuff I can use in here. :)

I have a seriously MASSIVE sound repository if you're interested in even more for variety's sake.

Edit: I'll go compile a pack anyway. I'm bored. :)

Edit 2:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/3238714/Sound%2 ... %20RGD.zip
Huge, but might be worth it.

If you can't download from there, I'll upload alternate links.

Edit 3: I'd also like to note this is just a sampler. I can easily still get much more. :)

Keep me in mind if you need sounds, eh? ;)

Also, played this, and was impressed. Love diablo's cathedral music. really do.

Do you think you might find the M&M textures useful? Just inquiring in case you didn't already have them.

Hey Bouncy, mega thanks for the sounds - this is a LOT to choose from and will probably be all I ever need for a while. XD Thanks again.

Textures - yes as a matter of fact I do have all of the rips you made for MM6, 7 and 8. The 7 and 8 collection kinda looks incomplete; I don't know - but it's still plenty to choose from.

However, now that you're here... I might as well ask. Are the MM monster sprites still around somewhere? I was thinking of using a few of the monsters from MM.

the 7 and 8 collections are complete. They just either reused the textures they already had more, or recycled ones from predecessor games, thus not included.

And, I probably could get a huge compiliation of all the done monsters I have for convenience's sake. No sounds for them although I could hunt and supply some if you so desire.

Edit:

Compiliation and stuff. AFAIK, this should have all the monsters i've made doom-friendly thus far.

Haven't downloaded your monster compilation yet (had to redownload your sound pack as I accidently deleted it >:|, and my MacBook Pro is doing an 800 MB MacOs update so it's making my internets slower)... but when you mean "Doom friendly", does it mean you altered it? In what ways? Did you destructively scaled it down in a graphics program? Converted them to the Doom palette? The reason I ask is, I think they'd be more useful to me if they were left unaltered.

I mean that the sprites were put into a wad, given proper lump names as opposed to stuff like "m150aa0.sprite", given basic decorate, and colored properly instead of being in a tutti-fruity green/yellow/magenta OMGLOL BRIGHT COLORS EVERYWHERE which worked for the game since it could just switch palettes on the monsters in real-time, changing those colors to proper ones, where as Doom has no such capability (at absolute best not nearly as well) and needs the sprites altered beforehand.

Some of the older ones are in the doom palette but most of the newer ones are true color PNGs.

And I've never scaled them down in a graphics editor. They always had zdoom in mind, and since zdoom can do scale, that'd be a wee bit pointless.

I finally tried it out. Does seem pretty random! A demon occasionally spooked me me out as I turned a corner, which made me think you could turn this into a pretty good cat and mouse kinda game, maybe even a horror one? I can think of a few ideas for this, but I'd like to see how the hack and slash theme turns out :)
