Well, I've only ever seen pictures of them on the internet. I'm convinced they're just really good photoshops, because I've never met one in real life.

that is a pretty good video.
I'd prefer the doomguy to have his helmet on though.

That's Doom3Guy1*, not DoomGuy. He has no helmet.

*Not to be confused with Doom3Guy2, the one in RoE.

I dont mean to hijack your thread, but there are some anatomical issues with the sprites you have, since these are done in doom resolutions, those problems are even more apparent.

First of all, your female sprite looks a bit more like a skinnier version of the male sprite. This is from the hips being too small in relation to the shoulders. The other problem is that the female sprite is also as tall as the male version, putting them side by side, makes the female look squished. Finally, the head is re-sized only in the horizontal direction, giving her a slight cone-head. I've made some edits to your original version, addressing some of these issues.

Image

Boobs looks rather impractically large for a marine, but this was to show that the chest stuck out more than the male version.

Again, this is only a critique of the anatomy. Not an attempt at flaming your work.

This sprite is pretty good actually, one issue though.

The shoulder and boob armor is shaded quite alot diffrently than doomguy. from what my eyes see, the female armor does not use the lightest shades of the green, which, on doomguy covers quite alot of the shoulders/torso.

Easier to notice that it's female marine.

I think someone should work on making the rest of this one. If anyone is good with sprite edits. (I'm not.) I think it looks the best so far from the ones I've seen. I've been hoping for a female doom marine for quite a while.

Edit: I think I'm gonna try my hand at making a female marine sprite sheet.

Sorry for the double post. I was working on making a female marine myself and here is what I have so far. Here is the first rotation.

And here is a comparison to the original marine.

I used the Illucia sprites as a base.

Wow, she's VERY thin, looks like she's anorexic or something.

Well it is based on the Illucia sprites. She was extremely thin. I tried to add a little bit of weight though....
