Mods for me is an afterthought with this, I'm more concerned that I can run it with GZDoom (can't really play normal ZDoom without feeling sick).

Haha.. I have no clue what you're talking about. I simply replaced the Imp's sprites, nothing fancy.TiberiumSoul wrote:are the enemies doe via for example: dsdoom3imp replaces doomimp or are they new entities entirely
im sure thats not the actor name but thats just how i chose to have the example
You're right on the mark!wildweasel wrote:Given he's presumably targeting Boom-compatible ports (the most popular DS port of Doom is actually PRBoom-derived, I think?), he's likely using Dehacked, which will work in a lot of ports, but Decorate-based mod compatibility is not completely guaranteed.
Can't play software doom without getting sick? Must have been pretty hard for you to play doom back in the 90's eh? Nah I'm just messing with you.BlueFireZ88 wrote:Mods for me is an afterthought with this, I'm more concerned that I can run it with GZDoom (can't really play normal ZDoom without feeling sick).
Every map except for map08 and map13 work just fine in openGL. It's only the colormap fog that doesn't render in GZDoom
This is what I mean:

I second this.scalliano wrote:You could not possibly comprehend the relief I felt when I saw this update. I've been waiting on this mod for ages and feared the worst when the Skulltag thread bit the dust. Great to see it's nearing completion. Godspeed!
I recall seeing a YouTube video of this project and was (and still am) looking forward to it. Glad to know it's not dead.

I'm sure those maps can be fixed for GZDoom when the time comes. I've seen some brilliant fog effects for the source port, good example is Winter' Fury.

I made a duplicate of Map13, one that uses mapinfo and outsidefog instead of colormaps. As you can see, it looks pretty atmospheric!

The combination of the atmospheric lighting and that gigantic spider in map 13 make the map look like it'll be wonderfully spooky experience to play!
