My original MIDI compositions

Post by Sonnyboy »

I have been making MIDI songs for years now, and I just thought that maybe I could make some music for you guys who could use music for your projects. My MIDI's are relatively high quality, or at least they sound that way on my soundcard.

Here, I've prepared a sample of my music:

The beginning is a slow industrial groove, then it gets rock/metalish.

Give it a listen. If you're interested, I would be glad to compose music for anyone. Don't use the sample file, please.
Pay attention to the drums. I spent a lot of time on those. :)

That's pretty good. Has a Duke Nukem 3D kind of sound to it.

Thanks, I don't see it, though.
I've never played the game with the music on.

Well, you're missing out. :P

Either way, that's good, keep practicing. I'd ask you to do a few midis for my project, but I've already filled that gap.

I won't burn any bridges, just in case. :)

But, like I said, if anyone does need songs for their projects, please, just ask. I'd be delighted for the opportunity.

Well.

Honestly, I was hoping my MIDI's would gather more attention.

Here's another demo, this one's more teknoish and industrial.

How long do midi's take you to construct?
I'd like a looping midi for my Deathmatch Project's 8th map, D2DM8. I was wondering if you're able to make a fast-ish paced metal/techno track within the next 2 weeks?

Let me know if you'd like to take up the challenge! :D

Hell yeah, I'd like to take you up on that!

I'll PM it to you.

@Xaser, the only effects I used were reverb. I did this by hand.

Sonny, I actually have a request whenever you've got the time.

You know "The Dark" from Doom 2? It's used on maps 6, 12, and 24. That slow bass and drums track. Think you could make something kind of like that, slow bass and drums with a little guitar? A song more suited to some exploration and light combat rather than balls-out demons everywhere stuff. :P

Madman! You make music as fast as I map? :3

EDIT: I'd like to note that when I say techno and metal, I mean sort of "Enter Shikari" ish, but more oriented for deathmatch, if that makes sense?
Here's a link to an Enter Shikari song, see what you think of it in ways of inspiration. [note: it's not my favorite song by them, but it features the music style I'm trying to explain.]

Many thanks, Sonnyboy!

Well, seeing as how I get out of school early tomorrow, and I don't have school Friday, I'll probably be staying up past midnight doing miscelleneous computations.

I do expect credits, as I'm sure you know. :)
