[Sprites] Duke3D & Shadow Warrior Betas

Post by janiform »

This site has a lot of art from the Duke3D & Shadow Warrior betas: http://hendricks266.duke4.net/index.html

Of specific interest are full frames for two unused SW enemies. Examples:

There's a lot of other interesting stuff too, including VOXEL versions of the Shadow Warrior enemies:

Those look great for a voxel monster. Interesting...

[EDIT] : Now look at this monster... Wouldn't you die to see it finished ? :/

I wouldn't die because then I couldn't enjoy, but I would really like to see it finished. That is indeed an epic beast!

Ah yes, Hendricks is a pal of mine. The full version of that monster, in the very least, DID exist at some time. However, it's either lost or in some unreleased beta/alpha. Both of these betas harbor some interesting things. I wish I could get a hold of a Duke3D beta placed between this one and Lameduke.

You know, somebody could probably do an edit of the cyberdemon or something similar (like Superdemon) and make a monster similar to that.

It'd be a bitch to do rotations, and well, just walking frames in general for the whole thing, but I think if we used the superdemon as a base we could make something similar to it. Maybe get that head or something and make rotations for it.

Damnit, where's poot when you need him. :(

It would be nice if 3D Realms would release the other Duke3D and Shadow Warrior betas a la Lameduke.

They'll release the unfinished versions when they're done.
