Any chance of the unique sound effects from the Jaguar/3DO ports of Wolfenstein 3D?

The 3DO sound effects are the same ones as in the Mac port, and the Jag version uses the same ones as the SNES version except for the Achtung callouts.CeeJay wrote:Any chance of the unique sound effects from the Jaguar/3DO ports of Wolfenstein 3D?

Atari Jaguar port:

Macintosh/3DO port

The sounds in the Jaguar port are quite different from the ones in the Mac/3DO ports, it's not just a few differences. From what I can hear it's the gunshots, guard voices and screams, door sounds, pushwall sounds, item sounds, menu sounds, dog sounds, boss voices ("Coming for ya!").

I just wanted to say that there's a utility for ripping Jaguar (And Second Encounter for Mac) resources, called WolfExtractor.

Could you upload to a different file sharing site? All I get is a corrupted file.

I wasn't aware that WolfExtractor had added support for the Jaguar port, thanks for the pointer. Managed to rip everything myselfmallo wrote:I just wanted to say that there's a utility for ripping Jaguar (And Second Encounter for Mac) resources, called WolfExtractor.

The Jaguar Wolf3D port actually has the resources in an embedded .wad file (you can see the IWAD header in a hex editor at offset 20000 - though the graphics and some other files don't seem to be quite the format that Slade 3 expects, so you have to extract them some other way).CeeJay wrote:I wasn't aware that WolfExtractor had added support for the Jaguar port, thanks for the pointer. The ability to extract the Jaguar resources is new in the latest update of WolfExtractor (from earlier this year).

Here's a .zip of the files with all of the graphics (except for the walls) converted to .PNG for easier direct use in-game.
