@NovaDragon - I doubt I would've been able to beat HR2 in hardcore mode, considering how brutal the whole thing is, even in the first three levels. I may try the first hell revealed again to see if I can beat it this time. (It will take a while for me to get through the Post Mortem map, though, if I make it there.)

Edit: After HR1, I'll give AV a shot and see if I can get past Map08.

@NovaDragon: Yeah, I got one of those random Vista crashes playing through mAP30 on scythe2. Luckily I'm dual booting into XP soon :P

@dljosef: You must be playing on XP?

@Bilbo - Yes, I'm playing it on XP, I'm not a fan of vista from what I heard of it.

Btw, I'm currently in the middle of map20, so I'm quickly working my way back to where I was at.

I know one level that is almost impossible to beat without cheating in Hell Revealed. The map is called Siege Hill or something with the name Siege, where you have to wait for the exit platform to come down and your SURROUNDED in a cage with more than a 100 demons.

@BlueOyster - Actually, said map is in HR2, and it's called The Siege II. I had to rocketjump out of the fort to get the powerups and massacre the demon horde, though.

Edit: I finally beat the original hell revealed. For map30, I had to wait for a terrorsphere to be spawned before I fired away into bapho's skull. My total score is 1912026. Now for Alien Vendetta.

Heh good to see a person taking on Hell Revealed wad. I see nobody really tried the Hardcore mode of ScoreDoom lately. LULz. I thought by now my Knee Deep in the Dead score would be gone by now... Guess not. 8-)

Been busy lately sir Biblo, so I should be able to make more ScoreDoom videos in the future. Gotta complete the original doom first.

Hey BlackBlaze. Yeah I've been busy too.

Hardcore mode I can see is pretty much insane for wads like HR, especially with the addonpack.

I was playing through Congestion1024 with the pack, and MAP30 was save-fest for me. I have a save game now which keeps crashing scoredoom, which is making me unable to complete the level, and I'm so close! So I will try and fix that bug, as well as another bug I found with how the scoredoom scores certain level ending sectors contained in some wads. It will be some time before I get around to it. This fix will not change current hi scores tables of course, which will remain.

Though I *may* also release an updated addonpack version in the future, which will have its own hi score table, or not... I may just release a new addonpack version w.o. official hi score server support :P, and only have 2.5r4 tables, which are well established.

Ahhh yes, I came acrossed a pretty important crash that we may need to figure out.

This time it happened to not be a vist crash (thank god!!!)

When I was playing Whispers of Satan (and Bella 2 for that matter) You come acrossed a modified Cyber that makes sex noises and in Bella 2, you come acrossed a stealth baron. When you kill both, they award you their respective points based on there health. (4000, and 1000, respectivley) After they die and you get the points, the game crashes. When you kill something thats stealthed like a caco, imp, or vile, the points are awarded and it doesnt crash. I think this has something to do with barons, spiders, and cybers all having there hp and points increased so theres a conflict in there that causes it to crash. Again this is In WOS the secret maps, 31, and 35 i believe, and bella 2 i think map 16. Any map that has a stealthed baron or a modified cyber that awards the normal amount of points this seems to happen, thus preventing max runs.

Just wanted to let y'all know and there are some new sexy enemies in the beastiary! :wink:

Odd bug bro. Maybe biblo can check on that.

I am just wondering, who the heck is GreenHeering? This guy set some impressive scores. Stole my spot on Ultimate Doom Knee Deep In The Dead. Must get it back ASAP.

Ahh i now the name but dont really know him.
I always check the doomworld forums site for extra wads that arent posted here, and he is a member of that forum. Hes one of the ones who did maps for cchest 3, claust 1024, claust 1024 overflow (not released) and the leader of cchest 4 team. Naturally I guess he would be a high ranking fellow but good luck man, try and get his scores beat!

I'm taking a break from those nintendo-hard megawads, and I'm trying out Whispers of Satan.

If anyone wants to try Armadosia, be my guest, as those levels take forever to complete because of all that switch hunting. Ugh. (I got to the start of map05 before I gave up.)

Its probably best to play the map/wad regularly before attempting to set scores. because I want to know the map layout and all its secrets etc etc... Thats why I am playing Ultimate Doom wad first. I know the maps really well just need to keep my chain long and execute efficiently.
