scaling weapon sprites

can someone tell me how this is done? I've tried:

scale = 0.25
but this does nothing

if you mean the HUD weapons, as far as I know there's no way to scale them (nor anything on a frame by frame basis), but if you mean actual weapons on the ground, then do it like this:

scale 0.5
so just stick it within whatever else (if anything) defines that thing

yeah I meatn the hud weapons.. thats too bad you can scale those.. :x

Yeah, i seriously think it would be cool to do that. It would make alot of weapons look much cooler, such as MassMouth 2's Ontra Shotgun and Ontra Rapid Fire Gun, which both look a bit pixelated. Also, at higher resolutions, the weapons seem to look worse, or at least i think so... haven't confirmed that yet. Probably a visual trick caused by the other stuff being at higher resolutions, or it could be just my eyes...
