I don't mind the .wad format. I was going to go .pk3 for the first version, but in the end chose not to. Maybe I'll try it this time around. Who knows.

the ending depends on two different things. One part is the bosses, other part is finding bodies. I'm trying not to give away too much, but it will make sense when you see it.
I plan to implement a meter at the end that puts what ending you got on a scale compared to the best and worst.
I always figured it was a play on "focus", though your explanation makes much more sense. I pulled "Zen Dynamics" out of a random hat so what's wrong with no explanations? ;P

Well, the difference between ending conditions is rather small. Killing 2 bosses might get you one ending, while killing 4 will get you another. When you play you'll understand how it works, perhaps.
Think of it being like Chrono Trigger (if you played it), the ending you get for the most part depends on when you choose to fight the last boss.
