I saw this monster on the old doom beastiary and wondered if anybody had actually finished it if they haven't I put one together it's pretty average but meh

the sprites are from strain, basically its a more powerful baron thats a spectral entity *as in its transparent* its a bit smart in that it runs when you hurt it and it spawns afterimages of itself while in pain, thus aiming can be hindered a little, that part was inspired by the fast imp/shadow

its also particularly agressive and when it runs away from you in pain it moves much quicker

I know Eriance did a cyber baron a while back but I actually started this before his. This is a more 'classic' looking demon using parts of the Cyberdemon with a little bit of spriting magic, if anyone wants to have a more uniform look in thier wads, I suppose this monster will look the part.

Decorate wise, nothing special, however he does occasionally throw a normal baron ball, and he is fully close combat ready. DoomED number supported, to use SUMMON CYBERBARON.

The CyberBaron and the FlyingImp will make it into the Beastiary although I would like to change a few things for them conc. the DECORATE and the sprites (little recolors and alternative attacks) if it is okay. Though, the Etheral one is a bit boring, nothing special and nothing to add here so I will most likely not add it.

Heres another two monsters I made

This first monster has been lying around on my computer for awhile, (it is an edit of the poison soul sprites) all i have done since the last time i did something with it was touch it up a bit make it look a bit better and its decorate a bit different but anywho

Distance: Hitscan with a psychic attack
Type: Demon/Undead
Description: A slightly smarter soul, with the ability to teleport about and psychicly attack the player by screaming loudly, it can also charge rapidly at you, if you try to dodge its charge it can turn quickly and continue its charge due to its ability to plan your moves :P

Make sure there aren't a lot of decorations, like trees, near where the rift is, since monsters it summons could get dropped right on them :P. That sprite I put up definately doesn't do it any justice.

Still working on the Illus, and I still need some sprite edits for the Balor.

well, heres another one called the Thor which is pretty fun, but make sure the roof is pretty high up when fighting this guy.

Ment to replace the Demon in hard maps or difficulties. They fit into tighter spaces, are faster, do more damage, and have more health. It's recomended to use in ambushes, as the name says, because they are still easily picked off at a long distances.

It's melee-ish attack creates an illusion that almost-instantly melees you. It can also create a shield, and fire five projectiles, only two of which are actually real :P (The projectiles pass through the shield). The original version was much weaker (half the melee damage, a quarter of the health).

Hi! This is my first monster (and my first post). Maybe the appearance is a simple recolored of a lost soul, but maybe in a future I will do a better appearance.

Name: Blood Soul
Difficult: Medium (near Hard)
Melee: No
Distance: Rail, Charge
Type: Demon, Undead
Summon Code: Bloodsoul

When a human is consumed by his bloody wrath and dead, a blood soul emerge from the body. By this, this soul is a strong version of a simple lost soul. It is more fast, more strong and more dangerous, seeking destroy every creature it finds.

His speed is high, and when charge can easily change his route to attack the player. In addition, when starts to charge, it shoots a blood ripper projectile (at the moment is a simply red rail). At last, the projectile actors of the weapons (rocket, plasma, BFG balls...) don't affect it; only melee, hitscan weapons and explosion radius (rocket explosion and BFG radius) can damage it.

It's all about this monster. Maybe in a near future, I could change the red rail with a better blood ripper projectile and improve the sprites with a different aspect.

That monster looks good for just being a simple recolor. :) Although I would recommend not posting images that huge.

Accepted Monsters are: Cyber Baron, Illus, Flying Imp, DarkRift, Thor, Flying Imp, Tornado Demon, Psychic Soul
Rejected Monsters are: Blood Soul (strange behaviour, bad sprite edit) and Ambusher (nothing interesting, compare with Stone Imp & Demon variants)
