lawl ummm sorry buddy, but its not the same as you actually there seeing/playing it compared to someone eles describing...its some skill and patients

Do you get the general idea, though? Fire's shootin' at you on the ground and when it reaches you, we use the burn sprites from the original Doom's Vile?

Nice video. :D

I hope to get Doom 3, at some point, to play it and some mods like D3: Phobos, and Hexen: Edge Of Chaos. The main problem, at the moment, is getting a computer that can run it, though, lol.

tried the demo, even on low settings , wont show anything but the outline and scratchy colors scramblind inside the black figure...

hey in this recession, we might find a good bargain!

I never tried it, but perhaps you could use the patch that makes DOOM 3 able to be run on a Voodoo. It'd graphically suck but it'd be DOOM 3. I don't know if that patch works on other video cards besides the Voodoo though.

@Ghastly: You should put all of the stuff we've done into a custom-made free-roaming Mars City; it'll be HUGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I dunno; I thought that'd be a sweet idea.

the problem with HUGE maps, is that they very very fast reach the linedef limit and the map boudaries. that is if you really... mean huge.

Icytux, I've never seen a map that reached the map boundaries on all sides, apart from that ridiculous desert I made :lol:, a map like that could be made by lots of different authors, now that would be cool

Yeah, just a big bad-a** free-roamin' world... where you could go anywhere and do anything!

Hey... It doesn't just have to be ONE map; it could be multiple maps linked together like hubs! You could explore all the different UAC areas and go back to previously visited ones whenever you want!

A survival map pack using only these monsters would be neat. Mm.. perhaps we could also do decorations.
Once this is finished I think it'd be nice to post links to various wads with the necessary material to make D3 in D2 maps (the DOOM 3 texture wad, decorations, music, weapons, monsters).
