The contrast is still way to strong to fit in the same style as other Doom monsters. They don't have outlines, for example.

If he can get the shape and all perfectly (which, some would agree, would be the hard part), someone else might be able to edit it so it's more Doom-style, if he can't. The shape in both sprites looks absolutely perfect, though.
And after that guy's done, the Invul, Helltime and Berserk Hunters would be fairly easily done (I arranged that in order of how difficult it would be to make those edits.

if someone else wants to do that, it's cool with me. at the moment, using lines will be easier to animate for me so i'm keeping them in until it's all done. then if i have time i'll go back and get rid of them.Gez wrote:The contrast is still way to strong to fit in the same style as other Doom monsters. EDIT
finished his 3/4 view but it may be a few days until i finish the profile view

I think the we (doom community) are pretty flexible, poot, your work is great. Do what you can, this pack is created by the community, and sharing is great!
@ The_Funktasm: thats pretty good, just a bit haround edges.(kinda looks flat) but its going the right direction.
Lost soul is hard to do, how does one make a nose??? lol

Just a bit of criticism. I remember the Doom 3 hell knights were huge and walked like Frankenstein's monster and it felt like they would easily twist your head off if you pissed him off. The hell knight in that pose looks a bit weak, as if he's had a hard time at the office and just wants to lie on the couch and watch tv.

@Poot: Looks great! Take your time, by the way. This project's been going for at least a year. I can stand a little longer for one more monster.

no, more like using more than 3 shades of green/gray. since thats how it is right now. should be kinda easy with photoshop to do.The_Funktasm wrote:So, you mean like this?Ghastly_dragon wrote:If he can get the shape and all perfectly (which, some would agree, would be the hard part), someone else might be able to edit it so it's more Doom-style, if he can't. Dude, that is awesome...poot wrote:well i had some extra time so i went ahead and added two more frames to his rotation. just need one more frame to finish off his rotation. i also changed his color and made some changes here and there.
I hate the hellknight design in doom 3 but that's still awesome.
