Spoiler:
No, you have to get the serpant key and open up the door, which lets you do the fight to kill two large lizards, and then you go to the aforemention shack, which has the cog inside it)

Re: Wolfen
Where is the serpent key? Or did you mean the swamp key? At any rate, where is it? Sorry for all these questions but I've been running back and forth in this WAD and my play time is close to 3 hours.

Re: Wolfen
I've cleared the bog and the fire tower, so that means I have used two mana beam switches. So what do I do next? Nothing new seems to have opened up...
(Give me clues as to what to do next, don't directly tell me what to do)
EDIT: After reading some really old forum posts, I found out that the aeon mana HUD is only available in 640 x 400, which would explain why I never saw it as I'm running at 1280 x 1024. You should fix it so it works in all resolutions.

Spoiler:So am I just running around too fast or are the Hexen textures really that bad? Pretty much all of my questions in this thread are asked because I missed a switch which blends really well into the surrounding.

Hey, this is really fun =) Currently fighting "queen mouse" with the warrior. I like the non-linear gameplay and tricky puzzles; it feels true to the original but a lot more complex, more hidden stuff to find, more detailed, better difficulty curve, etc. Frankly, I'm pretty amazed at this mod.

Re: Wolfen
The one critique I've always had is that the final battle feels unfinished. There's still a bad guy in the background and you never really get to strike him down yourself- just a segment of dialog that says he is defeated. I wanted to finish him off myself or something.

Horses for courses there. I actually liked that.
