Though considering that the hammer seems to come from nowhere, I wonder if it would make more "sense" to have the dish transform into the hammer and so solve two issues.
I've thought about that, but also liked the idea of the statue leaving something behind. I'll have to give it a try and see how it looks.

oh ah ha that makes sense, so there is a sign of where it had been, or that something had been in that spot.

Doom Comic chaingun. Still having trouble finding a good base for the weapon to extend the sprite out with.

Not sure what to make of it, could be bullets, plasma, a sniper, an assault carbine and thats why I havent decided on pickup sprites yet. Credz to Eriance. Credz to Doom Nukem and Sgt. Shivers for the second one.

That lower one looks like it would shoot out sand-colored cubes, or possibly pyramids. The upper one could be a gum-ball launcher.

playing about with necrodome's pillar sprites:
pillars.png
reshaped the bottom and recoloured to dooms marble textures, both green and red respectively.
plus a kinda hybrid one that makes the red one look like its made of the same stone as the green one but with a red glaze or whathaveyou, as I feel the pure red ones are somewhat over saturated, reducing their limited realism even moreso...

Having just exported some much lower quality pillar sprites... those are really cool!

Which I guess I'll post:

That "Disaster Area" sign should be placed before every slaughter fight.

that seems contradictory, to me, if you limit yourself to the 1993 doom palette but require full color mode and hardware rendering for the graphics to show up properly. But I tend to hold a minority few on these things, and admittedly I have never seen the graphics those are meant to swap in for! They seem to work in the provided screen shots, as far as I know. I have definitely made more than may be justifiable of graphical "improvements" for wads I was playing years ago.
