A couple of weeks ago I completed the new sprite set for the D'sparil Staff, and I forgot to show it off here:

Holographic taunt-head for the Overlord boss from DN3D (out of the 3 original bosses, he was the only one without one):

Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
So, here's something dumb: a Shit-Ass Dream Revolver!

Marvel at its various features - redundant cylinders that have absolutely no function, a tiny smoothbore barrel for tiny bullets that doesn't actually connect with the cylinder's chambers in any way, making the weapon non-functional, a terrible pistol grip, a literal empty cardboard roll in front of the third cylinder, and a general lack of any genuine purpose of any kind! It's the sort of mechanical non-marvel that can only be conjured up during my REM cycles, and is, as stated various times, totally useless! I couldn't find a place to put the useless switch that sits next to the rear of the cylinder (kind of like a safety or fire selector, only useless), but rest assured, it doesn't do anything either! You'd honestly get more range and power out of the bullets if you literally just THREW them at the target.
Also not shown - the cylinders are dual-caliber: .22 LR and a smaller, even less formidable caliber on the inner ring of the cylinder. Note that, since neither of these bullets ever actually has the opportunity to connect with the barrel - which runs down the center of all three cylinders all the way to the rear of the gun - these bullets might as well be decorative. Yes, I put minimal effort into almost every aspect of the sprite except for the cardboard toilet paper roll, which is arguably the most functional component of the "weapon". Basically, most guns that appear in my dreams are similarly dysfunctional (like a BAR with a rubber barrel, or an M12 Trench Gun made almost entirely of aluminum foil - that sort of thing).
Also, the bullets can be "fired" from the open cylinder - this causes the whole bullet, case included, to hop forward, then expand to roughly the size of a .30-30 black powder bullet. The case also magically transforms from brass into thin, bendable plastic. Truly a weapon for the ages. My dreams are weird, OK?

Interesting concept, although I feel it needs more tac-rails. At least 5 more tac-rails should do the trick. That way I can add some accessories I've been dying to try out - 1x magnification scopes, ultra-violet dot laser pointers, plastic bayonets and an extra large magazine (I'm thinking Vanity Fair or Cosmopolitan.TheRailgunner wrote:So, here's something dumb: a Shit-Ass Dream Revolver!

Also, does it comes in beige, or just gunmetal and burnt chocolate?

Can't speak for ALL of the gun's components, but the TP roll can be made-to-order. Speaking of...Vostyok wrote:Interesting concept, although I feel it needs more tac-rails. Now I just need to make a belt-feed conversion kit, so it can accept a belt of tiny bullets, de-link them, then drop them out the other side of the gun, unfired.

Make it an actual belt (as in, the article of clothing).

Those are not mine. The edits are from Realms667. I just adapted them and improved coding for my resource pack. There should be proper credits in the zscript code for those. I think the edits were done by Ettingrinder.

Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!

the old slapping and fireball tossing motions looked like they were linked anyway so i made the new version linkable

the west-south-2-angled motion has a lot of things wrong with it that i can see more clearly now than before and will look into but getting these all into a minimally spaced gif was a nuisance so i will probably leave that alone, for now.
the attack motions are generic but the old one fits into the whole mess well enough that it seemed justifiable to update, and I erroneously thought redrawing something old would be substantially easier than making something new.

guess who remembered their password?

cleaned up a spas-12 sprite by aeea7835 on DeviantArt, rotated variants in the bottom half are tilted 5 degrees to the left using RotSprite (very helpful tool) and some manual clean up
