The EOB character I was thinking of.

Oh, and I figured out why I couldn't see neoworm's images in the forum. Privacy badger was blocking the discord links.

Oh, that is where the metal skullcap for mages come from...

He is actually portrait for this guy from Ishar:

I stole what I could :-)

Also a new one. Kinda getting the hang of the style:

These portraits are pretty damn great. Do you paint over like stock photos or something, or do you outright just paint them from scratch?

it serves as a heatsink to prevent their big brains from overheating when casting spells

The unfortunate tradeoff is that it also serves as a lightning rod.

Those look great, jazzmaster9. Maybe tone up the legs a bit more though? It seems they're a little more pale than the upper body in my opinion.

This time - with pickup sprite, which i'm always forgetting to make! :D
BFG-type weapon with even more tanned metal - i'm thinking about making whole arsenal pack with tanned metal, honestly.

Of course it is. I completely forgot about him. The portrait really captures the look of the sprite - so it alone should have been enough to remind me.
The other portrait looks great too.

Great work on that BFG-like weapon too Sonik.o.fan. You're sprites have always been good but you've really stepped up a gear with these last few.

Neat and well detailed work, as always! And i also found the pickup sprite similar to D64 one!

First tentative attempts at rendering a full 3D character and scaling it down to a Doom-paletted sprite. The size of the character is actually proportioned to be closer to Build engine size (I used the Blood zombie for reference). He's getting there, I still have much to learn.

excellent choice of monster. The doom modding community need medieval humanoid fodder like a dry well water.
hope you iron out swiftly all prototype imperfections.

Neat. Definitely getting there. The skull is rhe part that, to me, still looks mist like a 3D render (perhaps it's the shadowing?) and that makes it less "Doomy" in style, but it would still be a very usable sprite and the proportions mentioned already mean that it isn't fully intended to blend with native Doom sprites anyway.

Shitty mashup of scarcely modified Doom 2016 hands and my Nishimura Four Heavy Sidearm. I could probably do with a better hand on the handguard - it's kinda...small, don't you think? Anyway, gonna see how far I can go with these hands before I hit a limit (the Nishimura Seven and Eight's reload frames, more than likely - from what I know, the Doom Slayer doesn't exactly reload anything that isn't a Super Shotgun).

EDIT: More shitty mashups.
