This is the 'X-Men: The Ravages of Apocalypse' weapon sprites that been rip from slade then upscaled to be "HD"

I forgot the original crater's name and can't find them, as they should be credited.
I just upscaled these sprites.

Started work on a Doom-style humanoid template, with the goal of making model renders that match vanilla Doom's art style. :D[/quote]Oh snap!! Definitely looks like every doom human characters. The body anatomy is absolutely accurate. And i guess you're making that Realm 667's Kamikaze Zombie?

Possessed looks dope. His punch attack however looks strange, with his nice straight boxing technique.

Im astonish by the amount of death type for each monster. Nice. There is soo many trooper reactions to an attack that it feels "chaotic" - not sure what I mean by that. I check pk3 in slade and amount of GRP is massive! Even if you just select and implement them its enormous work.

edit:
possesses contain 209 sprites?!! thats insane ! I dont have so many fingers. heretic Minotaur have 110 and I was thought its a lot.
Large amount of files because there's three full versions of the monster in there.
Standard, facegone and clean/eye-out. To create a bit of variation between individuals en-masse... Subtle but pretty clear enough.
Plus because of this there's +/- three versions of the death anims. And Gibs etc...

It's been a while since anyone has come up with a quality new full sprite set that could fit seamlessly into Doom and sit alongside the regular bestiary as a valuable addition. Their creepy, tortured appearance is perfect. I suspect we will start seeing this in quite a few mods. Excellent job.
thanks enjay. It all just went together well. Quite happy in the end!
I hope it gets used a lot. No better complement is there!

No, it's just a template character that can easily be reskinned to anything - Doomguy, Zombieman, whatever. :D This is why I painted the armor greyscale, because it's easy to recolor it. And if I want to make another character, I can just modify the model (for example, add a helmet for the Doomguy, or fatten it for the chaingun guy).

You can challenge him for the low, low price of approx. US$75 a sprite set.

So if it is a template character, we would use a modelling program, find a gun or anything that makes this guy interact and we found ourselves a new playermodel, that easy no?

Use of "we" suggest that you would like others to do the job :D

Some frames for the Staff Weapon:

I accidentally saved these as 8-bit at some point, so their colors are somewhat messed up.

They look great. I particularly like the SS one because the hair looks suitably 1940s in style and would probably be more in keeping with a military way to wear your hair.
