Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
I really need some help here. Can a talented spriter here help me make this into a complete sheet? I need full walking animations and cleanup from all angles... I've tried for weeks and can't get this to look any good. It also needs attack animations, pain animatinos and death animations. It;s a nightmare... literally.
Thanks in advance.

I wonder if a request for a full sprite sheet has ever been fulfilled. it would take talent and days if not weeks for such a task.
Anyway, is this based on a 3d model? If so, what game?

In addition, "here are eight renders of a 3D model from a game, I'm not telling you what game but I want you to completely touch them up and draw 30+ more frames from scratch for free thanks" is kind of a big ask.

That death animation is the best. So smooth yet bloody!

Kinda reminds me of the rendered sprites from Fallout.

Finally finished the iconic Kerberos soldier from Jin-Roh, complete with MG42 and ammo backpack. Took me all morning to make him, but it's worth it.
Spoiler: looong sprite warningCredits go to jazzmaster9, doomjedi, David G, and Das_M.

I move as fast as I can
I like to get around
I'm crazy like a madman
My feet don't touch the ground
I move amongst the night life
And they just step aside
Cause when they see me coming
They know I'm
RUNNING WILD
Spoiler: Individual frames

Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
The Jin-Roh sprite is excellent! I would imagine that some light from the muzzle flash in the firing states reflecting on the black armor would look even more impressive.
I know it looks cool, but if you want a more realistic depiction of a MG42 note that you wouldn't be able to see through the cooling holes in the barrel shroud, as the barrel sits immediately behind them Then again, your only option in that case is to color the holes a darker color which wouldn't be very noticeable at this scale and with the already dark shroud color. So maybe just leave it as it is and refer to the Rule of Cool

That is one royal and high-quality sprite you've made there!! I'm once again impressed.

Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
Hey, could I use the sprites in the test wad for a mod that I'm developing? This is probably one of the only good attempts at making a triple-barreled shotgun, in my opinion, your version looks very nice.
Also, while I'm here, LossForWords, could I use your 3 BFGs, Plasma Rifle, and Grenade Launcher sprites from pages 2169, 2168 and 2163?

Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
It's from Nightmare Creatures 2. That was the pun of me calling it a "literal nightmare"... i forgot to mention what it was from, so the pun was lost.Cherno wrote:I wonder if a request for a full sprite sheet has ever been fulfilled. it would take talent and days if not weeks for such a task.

Ah, I apologise I was a bit unfair in my request... the game is Nightmare Creatures 2. It's nearly impossible to rip resources from, I have no idea why but I've tried for years with no success. These frames are taken from a cheat in the game which allows monsters to become inactive and allows you to fly through walls in first person mode. I'm happy to pay for good work, also... so if anyone is up to the challenge, yeah, I'm willing to pay but you'll have to PM me a quote first.Kinsie wrote:In addition, "here are eight renders of a 3D model from a game, I'm not telling you what game but I want you to completely touch them up and draw 30+ more frames from scratch for free thanks" is kind of a big ask.
