Here are some D3 conversion sprites I made. Bases include the Blood Demon by Vader, sprites from Doom 2.5, and the Cyber-Malotaur...

Enjoy!

There are 3 more images to upload, but I'll add 'em in a future post.

P.S: Sorry 'bout the size of this post!

There's still some gray in the walls. NOT CLEAN ENOUGH! Keep scrubbing or you'll get fired!

Perhaps turn the grey to a VERY subtly different green, to maintain some texture.

Thanks, guys! Now I don't have to worry about double-postin'! Here's the final batch, for now...

The credits I gave for base sprites (in my first post) apply to these, as well.

Funny stuff... I didn't make it totally accurate, but it does seem like it can pull off that old-school feel...

The gray was actually re-applied, strictly for "keeping the color". One, it adds the shimmer, and two, a different shade of green would give the wall a totally different look. It looked awful in flat green, and thought of the original wall when reapplying my own gray. I'll keep it as is. :)

It looks for me like Elliot Swann from Doom 3 with spider legs on his head...

@Imp Hunter: I'd find a good, gungy, blister-y head (for the base). You can recolor the head brown and add long teeth later. As far as the tentacles go, I'm not too sure... You should be able to find something for 'em...

For the tentacles, how about Eriance's tentacle monster as a base? You could remove the eyes from the tentacle.

Years ago a guy calling himself "Enjay II" registered on these forums. Something about his main account having problems with the password springs to mind. Anyway, he used a picture of the Beholder from the old westwood/SSI game "Eye of the Beholder" as his avatar. I know this guy quite well and could probably get the sprites from him if you like. ;)

The look of the sprites is a bit more cartoony than Doom but they might be useful. In the game, there are limited angles (front, side, rear) and limited animations. There are front attack animations but no death frames for the enemies - unless you count the special death frames for the boss beholder when you force him into a spike trap.

There are other D&D monsters in the game too (mind flayers, kuo-toa, Zombies, undead knights...) obviously, but, again, sprite andlges and poses are limited. A lot of them simply don't work too well in Doom (I've tried) but I suppose they could be used as a base for something.
