OK, I'm gonna be "that guy". The back end (the end nearest the player) of that weapon looks awful IMO. It's too flat colour-wise and the edges are very abrupt and MS-painty looking. I realise that this may well be a function of the limited number of beigy-brown colours in the Doom palette but isn't there anything that can be done to improve an otherwise pretty cool looking weapon?

I agree, some plates or a few greebles would make a big difference.

I thought the same thing as enjay. Hopefully someone can make its back part more busy, rather than just plain.

That's because I have zero knowledge on how to actually make doom sprites without taking 10 hours to do so.
Look at this horrid SWATBot from SATAM I made a few weeks ago from the LameDuke trooper.

Meanwhile i was bored and tried to do a weapon

my achievement is that it looks like one but i dunno what does fires
I have 4 options of Possible Idea of what it can be:
A Oil powered Railgun
A railgun thats shoots Napalm like explosive rays
A flamethrowers
Or A Fireball launcher

edit: I added a pick up sprite too it

Here is the run animation of the "hound" creature from Prey rendered as sprites. I haven't decided on which other animations to render and how to cobble together death frames, but feel free to use as you wish. Critique is welcome.

That's cool. I'd be struggling too. It just surprised me that the sprite was getting such a positive response without anyone commenting on that bit near the rear of the gun. Just to be clear, I think it's a cool weapon and I completely understand if finishing that area is beyond your (current) skill-set. Perhaps some nice talented artist might pick it up and improve those bits. The one shown by DIMOShunter has a much better look to that part of the gun.

We need mp18 guns in doom. Keep it up Zio.

Also, Enjay, i swear i would make better edits, but i already snapped what i could on it. Now that dimos uploaded a second version and kinsie corrected the colors, i'm gonna do some work again :)
