Colors are fine. The icons on the other hand might be too dark against the background.

I agree. Maybe try giving the weapons a white outline or some kind of shadow effect so that they contrast with the background.

you cant tell from here on the forums but in the main menu of the mod, those shadow areas where the icons are heavily transparent...
