Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
Someone recently posted a lost soul without the skull. It gave me an idea, about replacing the lost soul with just a normal sized skull (borrowed from the revenant). So far it came out okay though no telling how it works in game. Would probably make a good projectile (ala nitrogolem) and does remind me vaguely of the revenant rocket actually. Took about 20 mins.

The barrel part and the pickup sprite definitely comes from Eriance's old plasma gun.RSSwizard wrote:I finally got my "developmental railgun" frankensprite done. I think part of it comes from GAA1992 or Eriance, im not sure as there were no credits on the image (the pickup sprite is mostly preserved).
Replaces chainsaw, has 2 shots, regenerates ammo as long as you're holding the weapon but its slightly unpredictable on how long recharges takes.

Why not put it back on the revenant?RSSwizard wrote:Someone recently posted a lost soul without the skull. Now that's some fine red oak texture there! I definitely can go hunting with her!

You know... I just borrow the skull for 20 minutes and suddenly somebody starts getting angry about it.Mr.Enchanter wrote:Why not put it back on the revenant?
Fine but this time the revenant is going to shoot his own flaming skull now too, no more mini-missiles for him.
And the lost soul is going to look just like it too.
Yep but like I said its untested.Skelegant wrote:This is exactly what I need! Can I use it pls?RSSwizard wrote:Someone recently posted a lost soul without the skull. Im thinking of giving the lost soul some speed for normal movement so it makes the small skull seem more zippety as a result of it being smaller (maybe Speed 12 but not quite the jogging pace of the archvile)
//There is nothing saying that the lost soul will lose any health OR damage for being smaller
//Edit: But it may in fact get a smaller radius and height making it harder to actually shoot, and able to slip through prison bars and other obstacles map makers use to keep them contained
That reminds me of something the Cyberdemon might shoot.VriskaSerket wrote:Dear God... I kinda want more of this.
Like a hell-corrupted rocket, its literally shooting death at you.
What I dont seem to understand is that whenever I give the cyberdemon projectiles that have visible flames behind them in the A1 or A2A8 frames... somehow it just doesn't seem to "fit"... like its actually more effective visually if its something that just looks cold and solid like the rocket.
Like "I can see movement of something coming, but I cant clearly see what it is so I better dodge anyway". That is a little bit creepy.

I don't think he was AAAGITATED, it just seemed like a suggestion to me.RSSwizard wrote: You know... I just borrow the skull for 20 minutes and suddenly somebody starts getting AAAGITATED about it.

I don't remember who made the original angle supershotgun sprite.
