Yeah and for the life of me I swore it was on this thread somewhere, just way back. Found it using google search before, but couldnt find it with google search this time. So ive re-upped it to imgur along with some other gun sprites I thought were awesome and shouldn't be forgotten. These are not mine, I make no claim to them.

No the initial frame is the idle frame. Think of it as a vacuum sealed tube color treated to mitigate and re-absorb bleed off radiation. So its like a red colored glass pipe. Just a laser, not a plasma gun.

But the reason is I dont know how to get an idle animation going for a weapon yet. The glowy part would have to be an A_Gunflash so it could be Bright, but I dont know how to set that call since the A_Ready can only have a duration of 1 tic (and a gunflash animation, even if called with a 0 tic frame, would need to ideally last several frames And be interruptible by the gun attacking). Spaghetti mess and trainwreck.

That looks Awesome. Reminds me of the M72 gauss rifle from fallout 2. Slap the FO4 gauss rifle sound effect on it and it'd be superb. Looks like it might hurt his hands though, kinda spiky and electrified up there.

Thanks. Honestly I thought the plasma gun was public domain or something, like somebody had made that edit a long time ago on doomworld or somesuch. So I apologize for not crediting.

In play the laser gun doesn't seem all that impressive because of no recoil (its a laser). It could be made up for with a cool sound effect but I havent decided on a good one yet for it. Its unlikely any of my mods will see the light of day, mostly im just doing it to be creative and changeup my dooming experience, its for passing the time.

(the stats are it shoots a speed 100 fast projectile, and it does the equivalent of a baron fireball worth of damage. Sergeants fire the same thing with an inaccurate spread, but because they only fire 1 shot and usually miss completely it makes up for the damage)

Now I feel the need to change the Gatling Laser which I put so much work into (replaced plasma gun slot 6) into something else, probably a machinegun. The chaingun became the nailgun I linked earlier.

If you want my honest opinion on your sprites. It's that the hands are odd, and I'd rather see them with either no hands, or handed and scaled.

I think it looks really damn good, the only problem is how HD it is. Compared to every other gun I can think of it would feel out of place to use it with anything else. I'd need some more guns in a similar style to make it feel like it belonged.

*edit: yeah and what Carbine Dioxide said about the hands, but I just feel like the actual skin is just a bit off.*

Looks good so far. Is that all you have done or is there more? also the shiny boots are a bit out of place but I'm not sure if you're still working on them.
