well... that AutoShotgun's sprite belongs to NoozeArts, by the way.

Thanks! I will add that to the credits.

Do you plan for there to be actual "firing" and "idle" sprites? Or just a pickup/inventory icon? It looks great in either case.

At some point, yes, but depending on when I actually do it, I might wait until I've put together the model and textures for it before I start spriting them - complex animations are much easier to put together using models as a base since you can just reposition the model as necessary.

Well, since it looks like a minigun-esque weapon I would think you could get away with 2 frames of firing. That is, if you're lazy :p

I'd probably need at least 4 for spin-up and a bunch of different muzzle flashes - since I'm looking at a firing rate of either 1750 or 3500 RPM, I don't want the flashes to look repetitive. And that assumes you don't ADS (which I'd want to) or reload (which I'd also want to). For something like The Trooper, I can ignore the last two, but I'd need the animations for those things eventually, especially if I want to make a proof-of-concept of Research & Destroy's arsenal in Doom.

I can totally see this in Trailblazer. Add some ornate gold embroidery to it and you have a masterpiece. :D

I don't know how I plan on making a reload for this, since I only have half of the drum.

It may be a bit big for Doom resolution, but it can be scaled down.
